But for the hostages to be released Israel should also agree with Hamas's demand of releasing Palestinians in Israeli custody. But Israel doesn't want the hostages to be released, because once the hostages are released Israel wouldn't have any reason to give to the world regarding the bombing of Gaza. Israel want the war to continue and achieve their long term aim of removing Palestinians from their lands and getting the land for themselves.
