      You need to learn the law. The landowners authority means employees CAN physically remove someone from a PRIVATE shopping mall.
      It’s private property… NO legal right to film in there. It’s not a crime, or illegal to do so, but they can remove someone for filming.

      @@TheAgedGamer You obviously got your law degree from watching auditors..!
      On private property you DONT have ‘rights’ (legal rights, your human and basic rights remain)
      You don’t even have the ‘right’ to even “be” on someone else’s property, unless you reside there.
      Filming on private property whilst not a crime can be prevented.
      Any auditor that thinks they have “rights” because it ‘has public access’ is simply deluded.
      The landowner has the legal right to tell someone to stop filming. Then they can tell them to leave the property. If that doesn’t happen, they have the right to physically remove them as a trespasser.

I wonder if she told the cops that spoke to her to turn off their BWCs. • @catfrab
      @catfrab 2 місяці тому

      @@paulbrutAgreed, sort of. Whilst it's true that there is no expectation of privacy in a public space and this is a public space, this space is also privately owned. It's open to the public but still private property. As the building owner/occupier, they are perfectly entitled to refuse entry or eject anyone from that property at any time. So, in order to appear reasonable, they produce a policy or guide to expectation for anyone on their property. You then have a choice to either accept those conditions or leave. If you contravene their conditions, you may be asked to leave or the police may be asked to assist them to eject you. However, there is also a commercial consideration, if you start ejecting people for petty contravention, you'll very soon have an empty shopping centre!
      To my mind, what should have been said to that woman by both security and plod was STFU or please leave. Similar to Brendan, we'd like you to play on but don't film or please leave. Simple.

      @vincentdeschile8586 It's quite likely a disease that is easily caught. Depending on who/what it suits at the moment.💗

    The CCP learned about public filming rights in the UK a minute after the Newton Bomb dropped.
    Sad to see others are much much slower..

    Shopping centres are often privately owned. Therefore, the law permitting anyone to film anything they can see from a public place does NOT apply. For example, the Metro centre at Gateshead is owned by the Metrcentre partnership. They DO HAVE THE RIGHT to stop you from filming if they wish. It is publicly accessible, but private land.
    Therefore, a different set of laws altogether.

    I so felt for you. Its so frustrating arguing with woke people. There's never any logic.
    They only want a conversation unless it goes outside their thinking processes. Then they'll walk away because they can't deal with people with brains
