The security cameras are owned by the owners of the property. One of the conditions of entry is that you accept you will be recorded by CCTV. There will be signs at the entrances. They are ofcourse subject to data protection law.
Before CCTV cameras people had a right to privacy in a public space. Then when CCTV arrived In the early 1990s the laws were rewritten that allowed the private companies operating them to film anyone or anything in a public space and that law goes both ways. Basically... We can film them filing us. And that's how the filming in public spaces became a thing.
European Police and Security need more training to confront the aggressor and instigator of a conflict, rather than instantly taking their side and spouting off non laws and threats to the person being accosted. I swear, I see this in almost every Euro Cop interaction.

It is if you're on their property and you've been correctly informed. In other words find where they've 'displayed' the rules and read them before doing *anything* in or on their property. This is far bigger than just filming something.

When I don’t want to be recorded, I go to a public space and stand in front of a camera while arguing that I don’t want to be recorded.
They don't want to be recorded because they know they are wrong
KEEP PLAYING THE PIANO 🎹 AND RECORDING IT, SIR 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍They should thank you and pay you instead of calling the police. Shame on the mall security 😠 😡 👿
He can complain all he likes, it's private property. They set the rules and he knows it. The confrontation is for clicks, for his channel as no one listens to his hurdy gurdy anymore. He's played that arse out of it.
The police should arrest her
@@daviejay8714 Boogie-woogie piano is pretty boring stuff. How about playing some decent music ? - Some decent jazz or something a bit more classical even.
I love the security guy who asks him "You play the piano really well.....why you doing this?" Playing the piano? How do these people think they have the right to dictate others enjoying his playing
The "but why you doing this...annoying the people" refers to filming the woman and arguing (to the guy's mind) with her. The security guard is suggesting Piano Guy goes back to playing here.
A mother in public causes a scene, covers her face and doesn't want to be recorded, yet lets her son, a MINOR, run around unsupervised and lets his face be filmed? She has no consideration for her own child? That's messed up.
Karen and her child are louder than the piano!
But she said “ and I’m not being a Karen “
Precisely.
@@ancientsounds6989🤣🤣 but she IS!🤣🤣
She needs the attention on her, not the piano. She's disgusting.
LOL She's so upset about being recorded on video, hides her face, and yet doesn't care one bit about her child being on camera? This lady is crazy. If you don't like it, MOVE ON, LADY! And, yeah, security is ridiculous in this too.
To the security guards in this vid: You are a bunch of bloody simps!!!!

These commie people don’t realize how they’re promoting their own life’s demise .
If she’d paid attention in science class, she would understand that the Inverse Square Law in physics dictates that as she walks AWAY from the piano, the sound rapidly becomes less intense … conversely, as she walks right up to the area of playing, it gets exponentially louder as she approaches.
She walked right up to where the music is coming from. She did it to herself.
It’s like going up to a vacuum cleaner, placing your ear right against the motor, on purpose; and then claiming it’s too loud.
"My mental health is at risk right now" Honey, your mental health divorced you and moved away long ago.
Funny
The true Karen has this precious, delicate idea of her fragile self
Along with baby's daddy 😂
Maybe you shouldnt be out in PUBLIC if you have bad mental HEALTH.
They never got married shes a product of pump and dump. 😂
What a toad. She needs to tell her bratty son to use his inside voice.
Her son is fine. Her complaints are petty and ridiculous.
I agree that she is a toad but does this child deserve similar name calling? Unless you mean "bratty" as a complement.
The boy is loud, ill-behaved, a nuisance in public and the mother is being a B. Public place, she should leave if she doesn’t like it.
Those people do have not a shred of etiquette. Rudeness and violence are all they understand.
@@douglaselliott8298Like your kind destroying the country now... 😅
These security guards are trash.
Hope the security guards get fired.
The one saying BK 'plays the piano well but why you doing this?' really wasn't helping anything.
The supervisor was at least calmly explaining his position on the rules regarding filming within the shopping centre. Filming in public may well have different rules than on private property, even if the place like a shopping centre is open to the public.
His earring gave him away
@@benwu7980 He's not filming the public, he's filming himself. Being coincidentally in footage isn't the same as being filmed, it's circumstantial and the intention isn't to capture anyone else on camera, unless they engage with said person filming which is tacit approval to be filmed.
The security are "invaders"
Brenda, you're quite right. She is a KAREN.
The piano is there for a reason Lady!!! walk away if you are annoyed cuz the piano can't !!lol 😂
She's crazy. It's not her piano anyway.
There's something wrong with her 😮
just gonna lash out on a lad playing the piano
She’s Isis 😂, If don’t like walk away,
Mmm!!.. So sorry 🙏 for the woman..(Karen!) . You played so well I just wonder how the kid feels... Looks like he did enjoy the music 🎶 shame it came to unnecessary stupidness by the way of the security guards they need to be updated of public buildings..... . As a mall it is not private.
Yeah she wants attention obviously but she's not paying attention to her child who is running a muck everywhere and louder than the piano
She's American.
Just saying.
Anyone carrying a pair of Crocs cannot be taken seriously. Her child is clearly upset by the mother's behaviour.
If she would just focus on her sweet little son who is desperate for her attention, her time would be better spent.
She is wearing a pair of Crocs.
If she’s going to act like a child then send her home 😅😅
What a shame that some people have to cause trouble by complaining about something or anything or everything. Brendan, your piano playing is a wonderful treasure that should be appreciated. If that mall is that uptight about video recording, better to find a happier mall that isn't so rigid.
Bring it to America, I would love to watch you play and see so many happy people enjoying your music.
I was in a Nordstrom in Newport Beach, California several years ago. There was one of these “public pianos” there by one of the escalators.
Some dude sat down and started banging out various Metallica songs.
It was awesome, even the older people were enjoying it.
Americans would complain too, maybe even worse.
@@natashanyxx9486 They play in American malls all of the time you dumb ass dope. Even though there are people trying to take away freedoms we still have them.
@@natashanyxx9486 Unfortunately I'd have to agree on that one.
We have those same idiots here in america just the same.
I'll bet that lady blasts her music as she drives through town. Instead of exposing her child to wonderful music, she is teaching how to hate.
She might be a lot of things but she is certainly NO lady, I'd say fuckin headcase is closer to the truth, the kid also looked as if he was two sandwiches short of a picnic.
"My mental health is at risk..."? THAT ship has sailed long ago!
That security guard is a clown!! and an idiot !!!!
😂she's a nutjob 🤡
😂. Yes!!!!
Spot on! Nightmare scenario - being married to her.
And the ship sunk...
Let security deal with her.. just keep playing! If she doesn’t like it she can leave. No one is holding her. She is the one disturbing the peace! Not the piano player!!
If we don't stand up for our rights they will be taken from us. Well done Dr K and thankyou for your wonderful music that is a gift to us.

Give them a uniform and they think they're Hitler.
No expectation of privacy in a public area. If you don't want to be filmed... Don't go places that might capture your likeness...
The mall security is a joke! As they're having their exchange someone else is playing the piano, why isn't she complaining about them??

What about security camera recording all the people in public place? Do they need to get permission from everybody?
Good point
The security cameras are owned by the owners of the property. One of the conditions of entry is that you accept you will be recorded by CCTV. There will be signs at the entrances. They are ofcourse subject to data protection law.
Before CCTV cameras people had a right to privacy in a public space. Then when CCTV arrived In the early 1990s the laws were rewritten that allowed the private companies operating them to film anyone or anything in a public space and that law goes both ways. Basically... We can film them filing us. And that's how the filming in public spaces became a thing.
There are signs saying the premises are being recorded by CCTV so you enter knowing that...if you don't want to be filmed then you don't have to enter
European Police and Security need more training to confront the aggressor and instigator of a conflict, rather than instantly taking their side and spouting off non laws and threats to the person being accosted. I swear, I see this in almost every Euro Cop interaction.
They have orders to side with the evil ones
Your perception based on yt-videos isn't representative. I live in continental Europe and I'm pretty happy with police work in my country. Btw, normal interation between police and ordinary people doesn't end up on yt beause it doesn't generate clicks.
The code of conduct states that nobody is allowed to enjoy life in any way.
The Woke Creed...
Aaaah, lovely
Meanwhile HER KID is screaming as loud as he can *the whole time!*
What an idiot guard, telling you need permission to film in a public place. Their code of conduct isn't law
Jo_Kuiper
The problem is, although the public frequent a shopping centre, it is private property and so is not covered by the same laws regarding public spaces.
It is if you're on their property and you've been correctly informed. In other words find where they've 'displayed' the rules and read them before doing *anything* in or on their property. This is far bigger than just filming something.
its not a public place though - you enter and abide by their terms and conditions
Foreign security telling natives what to do again please tell these invaders to f off
@@richyoz2630 Well, the law that allows them to film me also applies for me to film there as well, their policy doesn't matter.
He wouldn't have recorded the woman if she hadn't come and gotten into his face.
It’s about time the security people are told how the law works in public place.
He can be trespassed.
Do they have the brains to understand how the law works in public places, you might have better luck explaining it to a child.
They are so used to being controlled, they don't understand freedom.
He's not in a public place, according to the guy. It's private property, the owners can make policy.
Some people have absolutely nothing better to do than to bother and annoy even someone playing the piano in a public space.
Best comment “ we are being filmed all over the place without our consent”
There are normally 100 to 500 cameras in that shopping centre.
Every single shop will have 10 cameras.
