@@sturdeehouse In the end I haven't bought duble bass G, but I bought single chamber bass G and C. They are much quiter than alto C and G. The nieghbours will still hear you playing if you live in the apartment, but I'd say the loudness and tone color is much more tolerable for them :) Keep in mind that single chamber bass G has high breath requirement in the highest notes (similarly like alto C in my opinion)

Did you buy one? Is it quiet? I have a C3 ocarina and it is so loud it disturbs the neighbours.....so I don't play it.

May I ask how yours is painted? From my understanding the shop doesnt paint them.
