My favorite oc is the focalink seedpod tuned in tenor G. It's amazing how relatively cheap instruments can have this quality. the seedpod in alto C is probably even better (and cheaper) technically, but I love the G deeper tune more.
I like the pendant style more than inline, you can easily be much faster.
Focalink makes some amazing ocarinas! I have their dulce double alto c. It’s been my favorite ocarina for years. 😊
I also love Pure Ocarinas. Robert Hickman makes them and they are the most playable and rich sounding ocarinas I’ve ever played. Too bad lots of ocarinists don’t know about them.

I like the ceramic sound more, and I have a nebula model ocarina from STL Ocarina. I am considering purchasing a bass ocarina. The plastic basses are much cheaper. How does plastic compare to ceramic and wood?
Plastic ones are so bad that I don't even compare them. Anything is far better than plastic. Ceramics are cheap and nice.
@@gelflingmusic9428 Thank you for the feedback. I think I will save up for a Shadow in C Major Bass from STL Ocarina. It's ceramic and will match better with my Nebula for recordings.
Or even ceramic ocarinas that are really well tuned, I mean made for musicians
