Seldom anyone from a life of privilege would see the needs of those living in poverty as entitled to similar opportunities and advantages as themselves. Often the underprivileged are stigmatized as lazy and lacking enthusiasm even when there's no proof which states being poor is the result of laziness. Dr. King is once in a lifetime. Every time I think of him, I'm energized by the spirit of accomplishment.
Kennedy gets his head blown off, in public, and the questions are about violence in the black community. Dr. King could only argue from the position of second class citizen. 100 years after the civil war, and that war was still being fought. I'd like to say that we have evolved past it now. I think she may have been doing her duty of reporting from the audience’s perspective objectively not necessarily her own.
