The 861 is an awesome gun. I just recently got mine ($150 for the gun and 1 2.5ah battery on Facebook marketplace 👍). It’s my daily driver, my most often used power tool. Not sure what the “A” means, mine is just “CT861”

Joseph, what is the difference btwn. the CTR 861 and CTR 861A ??
There is a different mechanical gearing system that is stronger! The engineers at our tool show also mentioned that a lot of the newly purchased CTR 861s without the A have been re-designed as well! They can be found by looking for a black mark on the inside of the casing where the battery goes

Hey Cesar!! Hope whatever issue you had was resolved in a timely manner with whatever caused this thought, in my experience, 80% of the price of our tools is quality, the other 20% is service. Can’t have one without the other!!!
