seriously, there was a guy who controlled the card flow of the battle... a girl who cuts through dimensions with her Katana... a girl with a backpack with infinite space that may very well be a spaceship... a wish giving mana... a girl who could tame all monsters... an immortal ghost... and Flay, who is... well, it's freaking Flay, what more do you want? Seriously, the first game's characters were so much cooler than the second one's...
sulpher is also a mana that can control The many different forms of sulfur (inorganic and organic) plus sulfate was used by some alchemists in the past for info look up Sulfur S16
for people who doen't know how to get your caracters to talk in the psp version go to options in the main menu and chose save jump start that will activate the voices in battle and evin decreace the loading time when going to other places (don't forget to turn it ON in the option menu hope this helps :)
anyone ever notice that ALL of the characters Bursts are barraging attacks like wehn vaince uses einzelkampf, his sword chain smacks enemies perform many chain hits and nikki's weapon spring too
i think we can all agree pamela is the best. hands down because 1.- she has an auto rez, 2.- SHE BECOMES IMMUNE TO PHYSICAL DAMAGE LATER IN THE GAME, and 3.- she has a kick ass TEDDY
if i remember the # of hits never changes but dmg goes up the lower pamela's HP is. i heard it can do sickening damage in burst mode if pamela's HP is in the single digits
to use variable strike, put vayne on the third support, then wait until all of the supproter can help / change. For example put nikki, roxis and vayne as supporter. After that choose one of your character to attack, then change nikki, after that change roxis, and last one, change vayne
The game will tell you in a very easy to understand tutorial when the time comes. This game has a tutorial for everything and they are easy to understand.
You know, I started playing the psp vesion and was disappointed to not hear the battle voices, I later realized they condensed certain aspects when they shifted Alchemists of Al-Revis to the UMD format and re-titled Student Alliance. Honestly I wish more of the scenes HAD been dubbed, shoddy as the voice acting can be, Roxis getting his Mana, it would have been a blast to hear his utter frustration with the Mana of Light and Vayne's attempts to be his friend.

@Lukuz13 na sulphur is a normal cat, the back story to the song dreams of a black cat are his memory of going from being found by theofratus as a kitten to growing up watching theofratus. if sulphur were a mana from the start theofratus never would have referred to him as a kitten and named him sulphur. also sulphur refers to himself as having lived a long life as it first eludes to him dieing of age. vaynes power to wish as a mana gave him the ability to turn sulphur into a weapon.
@Lukuz13 and with vayne only being 4-6 years old remember when they first learn about theofratus and i think it was nikki who told >i forget his name< that this means hes old enough to have a child as old as vayne and remeber this guy was a classmate of theofratus and the guy goes into "shock" as they refer to it as when he just emotes *gag* and doesnt say anything else with a stunned look on his face. this is because not a huge amount of time had passed since they ALL had been students.

I think that was one of this games prequels..Either way I have it and its real fun,To prove it I beat the game 7 times(XD),unlocked all the endings and got the encyclopedia to 100% and I am still playing!XD

Becouse there are no levels in the game. It uses a different power up system called the Growth Book. You have to create certain items that will light up spaces in your Growth Book then gain enough AP to buy the available Status modifiers, Pasive Skills and Special Attacks.
@Lukuz13 also very early on nikki asks if she can try on sulphur and sulphur says he will only work with vayne and nikki and jess are dissapointed. this is because sulphur can ONLY work with vayne
@Lukuz13 as for his life before the school i think you may not be taking into account vaynes full power. he hadnt ever faught before correct? how would he even be capable of fighting if it too was to an extent something he wished for. also sulphur was vaynes only friend and sulphur had seen the world through the eyes of a cat watching an incredibly famous alchemist.
I really liked Vayne's voice actor too and he actually has a role in Atelier Rorona as Sterkenburg and he's pretty much the sole reason why I'm using english english voices.
@Lukuz13 Oh I loved that part.It added a challenge to the game.plus that is where muppy,flay, and pamala got to shine.Roxis is helpful,but I just dont have enough patience with him.His attcks take to long,and by the time they take affect he's dead.mostly cause of his low defence.And i LOVE pamala's "Don't Bully Me" attack,it does amazing things wen ure losing.with anna shes just fun to use,esecially her burst.

@lotharsredemption yeah lower pamelas hp to 1 and then all hell will break loose basically have a meat stick (flay,vayne,nikki etc.) out with jess and pamela and once its pamelas turn to move and her hp is one no bullying for max damage then jess with one of her healing circles
Say is it necessary to check all the places every time in every chapter for the characters event or after i finish every chapter? And what is the Handout in each assignment? And what does speceility(something like that because i spilled it wrong:P) in the search task Job means?
That's a shame to hear. I'm going to pick it up for winter break and see for myself. But, seeing is how the first one was so epic, I wouldn't be surprised if it can't live up to the expectations set by the first game.
@Lukuz13 any way wen i use him he's my safety net,high hp and defence,also wen he dies in battle he has an ability to do masave damage before hes down.other than that not a very good fighter compared to the others(except roxis,without his mana,hes very useless).

with a chain hit support of three, make vayne the last one to hit (as in, when its done, he'll be the one switched in)
