I was thinking about watching this film today and it shows up on my UA-cam. Technology is advancing way faster than I thought, in fact, way faster than my thoughts.
I've seen this movie hundreds of times. Joker alone killed 50 people, roughly half were off screen but they still count. Batman killed 17 people. Some people weren't even counted, like the dude that jumped behind Batman and fell through the floor. And most, if not all the crowd at the parade were saved by Batman when he stole Jokers balloons. But if you only count Joker and Batmans victims, the total is 67. I know I'm a nerd lol
I never thought that purple gas in the museum was deadly, but just knockout gas; we never see any of those unconscious bodies with smiles on their faces afterward. (However, the two people who fell over the railing were probably killed.) In the shooting script of the film, the Joker would sometimes poison people without killing them. The reason no police showed up at the parade, for example, was because the Joker somehow gained access to the department's coffee machine and contaminated the coffee. At the speech in the final scene of the film, Commissioner Gordon was supposed to say that all the sick cops had recovered, but had vowed never to drink coffee again.
I feel like it’s a bit over half (most…batman accidentally causing joker to get a chemical bath is what caused him to become the joker, as well as kill 50+ people, and then there’s the 17 or so more that batman killed
@Paul Richter It didn't go through his throat. But he was left hanging with the grapple around his neck. May have been taken off by someone and arrested I don't know it never showed what happened after with him. But he wasn't killed in that moment he kept saying "Let me down".
Taking away all those who died from Smilex gas, it's disturbing how many characters Jack Napier himself killed in this movie: Wayne's parents, Eckhardt, Grissom, Rotelli, Ricorso, Alicia, Bob...
@@Ginger-ou6bs I know this is two years old but, according to those who read the novelization, that man did indeed die. Besides, if you ask me, on-screen, his scream lasted quite long for it to be a one-story fall, and they're atop an old bell tower with weak floors. No worries, though 👍
The time stamp on your comment is at a point in the video where a male citizen is asphyxiating on toxic gas, there’s nothing about the museum or people near/in the museum in that section.
@@KarlSturmgewher well as for the newly added museum comment, I disagree that they just got knocked out as they don’t move (eg. Breathing) throughout the rest of the entire museum scene and I disagree about the man covering his face with money as I don’t think money would be protective enough
I did miss 1 Kill as far as I can tell. During Joker’s commercial, a male dead body is shown.
Actually you missed in the news report, he was gonna say 3 people had died
19 people also died, 13 were mentioned by a newspaper and 6 were reported by Narita's replacement. Hunt's death is debatable.
@@mexicanmappingtv5239 if there was no body shown I didn’t count it - that’s why there’s no they’re not counted.
I think you also missed that one goon that tried to tackle Batman, but fell through the floor in the cathedral. He definitely died from that fall.
@@sonicfan9144 this video is years old but I remember not counting him bc I always assumed there was a floor underneath the one he fell through

I'm surprised he isn't as known as Affleck Batman since he kills too.
I love this as I love all kill counts! Thanks for sharing ;)

74 Deaths Is In This Movie !
I only counted the kills that were shown to us, the viewer. I left out the deaths that were mentioned and in the newspaper. :)
And half these deaths would of been avoided if Bruce Wayne didn't become Batman.

What about when batman shot a grapple hook through a goons throat? Most skip that part.
