Can you please recommend type of topper to firm up a soft mattress- if even possible? Thank you for helping me.

Worth getting the cooling tech they offer for an extra $80? Someone at Mattress Firm says the tech only lasts the first 30 or so minutes and wont help your temps throughout the night. Thoughts?

Hi John! If you're looking to keep the firmness to still get the support your back needs, the Nolah topper or a latex topper should work well for you, since their foams are a little more dense.

All memory foam is ultra ultra toxic, but I will never use any other material because I absolutely will not deal with uncomfortable mattress or pillow and even polyester mattresses are really toxic as well because polyester itself is an offgassing material. If I was you, I would recommend getting a waterproof mattress cover preferably two of them as that will almost completely block all of the chemical offgassing that will come from the memory foam, which even if you leave outside to air for a year will not completely off gas so there is almost no reason to not get it covered because that gassing will continue through the life of the products.
I don’t even know that it has a plastic cover on it. It feels like a regular mattress and if you have a waterproof plastic cover on it, it will also prevent it from growing mold and smelling you could pretty much sleep on that mattress for the rest of your life, and it would not be affected by mold, and would not need to be cleaned. Because the waterproof mattress is not air proof technically, I always use at least two covers to prevent as much of the chemical coming through as possible.

@@ZxAMobile actually the product smell was temporary, its very comfortable to sleep on and my hips no longer hurt. Now, this being said, if you can give scientific references to what you say, possibly EPA or government support I might listen.I am not interested id subjective, heresy.. just show me evidence that memory for is toxic. I looked it up and my temperpaedic is 100% CertiPUR-US® this gives me more security that it is not Vocs problem and other issues you point out

@@sbtmmo5 I have memory foam specifically my shredded memory foam pillow that is also certified by the same agency and if I don’t put a complete air proof membrane on it, my nose gets extremely irritated and certain nights my nose bleeds, and I have absolutely no allergies and no issues with my nose getting irritated with any other chemical, other than polyester and memory foam memory foam is made from the same material or similar material to polyester and polyester is factually known to off gas.
The two orgs you preferred to get these studies from are the most corrupt organizations there are, so if you’re looking at those for reputable science based knowledge, then I don’t know what else to tell you. If you think that something is safe for you, just because some arbitrary organization certified it then I don’t know what else to tell you you should go do your own research I know for a fact that memory foam is toxic and just because the smell goes away, doesn’t mean that the half-life of the product has finished breaking down.
I think you’re the same type of person that thinks that just because something is BPA free that it is no longer toxic. 😆 But hey be my guest don’t put anything on it. Don’t put any cover on it and just continue to inhale all that beautiful offgassing for the rest of your life just like all the other Normies like you love to do. 👋
