Your information is partially correct. Jewel is designed so that as you exit T1 baggage collection you walk straight into Jewel level 1. Note you “left” immigration and technically not at airside of the airport. From other terminals simply take inter terminal trains and follow the signs to Jewel. Again you would have left immigration. Jewel is not designed to be an “in airport” place which is exactly what this video and the architect describes. For departing passengers, you can check in early at the Jewel, walk around, eat and sleep in a hotel if you like, before going to your immigration and departure gate as per normal. Thanks for featuring Changi Airport, the pride of our country. Our first Prime Minister did not want it to be just a utilitarian infrastructure; he wanted it to be a gateway to showcase our country. Such is the vision of our first Prime Minister and the team of bureaucrats, architects and engineers. Over the years, the airport has also stayed ahead of the game by always adopting the latest technologies. We are now one of the few airports in the world where one can exit the aircraft and exit the airport in less than 15min. Clearing immigration is already super fast; it takes less than 1 minute.
