you know what's interesting? I have the impression that because they implemented the queing for tasks, that the visual feels less hectic, because you certainly don't have to jump back and forth so much anymore. Just compare it with a standard game from AOE2 HD. I dunno, I just noticed and figured it's probably that. Anyhow. Very enjoyable to watch & listen to.

Thats a very good point,as some who only watches games i did notice they got a lot smoother and easier to watch,just couldnt quite put my finger on why its so... guess it makes more sense then just the graphics being better and cleaner aswell.
@@occido I know there's still quite some issues with the things they implemented and worked over and I know that T90 apparently made a whole list of bugs/issues that he forwards at the devs to fix. If it hasn't yet been added, just see if you can actually re-produce the bug (to see if it really is a reoccurring issue) and let him add it.

You don't have to, but I think there's a "bug" where if you shoot the boar once, it will follow the villager indefinitely until another close villager shoots him again (the boar will aggro the new one). But, if you shoot him twice at the beggining, it will follow the villager indefinitely until the boar is dead or the villager garrison in the town center.
I hope you guys will play play against the barbarian Ai again in the future. Hopefully it will be created for definitive edition too. Really enjoyed those games and Barbarian ai can play every gamemode and every map pretty decent. :D
i think that the extreme AI, is sometimes really good picking strategies, but in some maps/situations they do not choose the right options like, why scorpions? why the none of the AI massed some skirms ? why the celt AI didn't mass some onagers or rams, the strategy that the AI picks i think that is really really randomized,
Totally off-topic, but if I were designing an RTS, my design goal would be to somehow limit the amount of APM you need to do to be even decent at most RTS games. I love the strategy and real-time empire building of RTS games, but these crazy APMs keep me from wanting to play vs. just watch. I know AoE needs less APMs than Starcraft, but it’s still too much for me. AoE was the first PC game I ever played and I was totally enamored with it, especially the scenarios. But the way I played single player was not at all how competitive play was like, and eventually I felt I didn’t have a chance at improving because my brain simply doesn’t work that fast. I went on to play turn-based strategy games like Worms and later Hearthstone, because I really liked using my brain to solve dynamic problems. However, turn-based is often too slow to be as enjoyable. I think there needs to be a middle-ground somehow.
That is very impressive! Truly monster performances. As you mentioned, how about letting them be the first aggressor in castle age? You may wall up and go for def towers and castles and so on, but not play aggressive. What would happen then? You might consider it slow, but it is as fast as some of us can manage :/ Anyways, great game!
Iv played 4 games of DE, and every single game has had a dropped player. I'm having issues getting people to join my games, seeing other peoples' games, and my cousin cant even see my games unless I invite him. Also, it seems there are some parts of the game that aren't complete. For example, why don't battle elephants and war elephants have sound animations when attacking? Silent tusk smashing. In the interviews the people creating the game said that one laggy gamer wouldn't slow down the whole game. I can say with certainty that this statement is false. The game lags, and when the laggy gamer is dropped/defeated, the game runs smoothly afterwards. I wish I could say I wasn't disappointed with the release of this game. I hate sounding so negative, but I love AOE2 and have been playing since for 17 years. I was so hyped for this release, and now its been 2 weeks and I still can't even get a good game going. I hope the devs can turn this around, I want to play me some solid Age of Empires!!!!!
a monk army can turn enemy cities easily for free, its my favourite tactic, just a suggestion, and if you get spanish you can make also missionaries who can actually escape, normal monks are totally dead without escorts.
Actually the konnik is the strongest cavalry unit 1v1 in post imp. They even beat boyars because of how crazy fast they attack after the special tech is researched. Something went wrong with Tatoh's konniks.
32:24 fully upgraded Konniks (with the 25% attack speed bonus) actually beat even Frank Paladins 1v1 and ALMOST beats a +5 extra attack Lithuanian Paladin losing with just 1 more attack needed against the Paladin. Idk where Tatoh got his info from to say it loses 1v1 so confidently
quick setup questions: Is it possible to disable the alert messages like "house built" or "worker created"? In the old aoe2 hd there was an "I" icon on the minimap specifially for that , but now it seems to be gone. my 2nd question is also: where can you enable the setting that if you move the cursor above a unit button, it shows how much ressources it costs? thank you!

Can somebody tell me why the water looks so blue? In other videos concerning AoE2:DE it looks way lighter. Does Viper use some kind of mod or does the colour of the water depend on the map? Just kinda confused because i like the new version of water from AoE2:DE :D
Hi Viper! New Fan here. Are you planning to play multiplayer on Age of Mythology as well? We'd love to see you play and get better at that too. I know you're disappointed by the Chinese campaign but overall AOM is fun and Age of Titans is pretty balanced too.

Actually, this Extreme AI weaker than Barbarian AI. So I didn't quite understand that, Microsoft just couldn't copy all the algorithm from Barbarians, while developing Extreme AI.
what about giving kipchaks obsidian arrows for every arrow they have and giving them bracers plus training them in archery ranges that seems to be genghis khan but thousands of him and if does not satisfy then making them half a pop

You don't have to, but I think there's a "bug" where if you shoot the boar once, it will follow the villager indefinitely until another close villager shoots him again (the boar will aggro the new one). But, if you shoot him twice at the beggining, it will follow the villager indefinitely until the boar is dead or the villager garrison in the town center.
