Fan Zhendong will definitely reach the world no.1 spot toward the fall of 2018 if he continues like this. He deserves the spot. Ovtcharov will have to work hard to beat Fan. I have a feeling Fan Zhendong will win over Dima Ovtcharov in the 2018 ITTF World Championships.

Ami00 ma long just entered 6 Times game before in the rule he lost the quality to the final game
The players have to play at least 5 world tours and their accumulated points ranked in the best 16 in order to qualify for the Grand Finals singles event. Ma Long only played Qatar, Japan and China Opens, he certainly is in the best 16 by points, but not enough participation to qualify.
He also has a wife and newborn son to spend time with.
