Loved the video and the surprise mcu content was great. Have you heard of the Spiderman comic "One Moment in Time" it's a really good short story that they took a lot of inspiration from for this movie.

10:35 Speaking of Kraven, anybody remembers that time everyone thought that Spider-Man No Way Home was gonna be a movie about Peter clearing up his name and is being hunted by everyone wanting to get revenge on him and the main villain being Kraven The Hunter and the movie title going something like "Spider-Man Home Run"?
Then Jamie Foxx just blew everything out of the window by announcing he's back as Electro with fan art of the three Spider-Man together, then Alfred being rumored doing Doc Ock stunt scenes after that everything just snowballed to what it is today.
That aside, I hope that Peter eventually manages to lift himself back up to start having tech in his arsenal again, kinda like the PS4 Spider-Man where he has his arsenal of tech made by himself.

Saying that Tobey "didn't want to be there" is what makes it work for me though - he's an older Spiderman at this point. Several of his lines carry the same vibe, talking about "trying to do better" and just being happy to see Otto again. He's some version of Sam Raimi Spiderman, for sure, and that means it's been a rough solo adventure without any suggestion otherwise. Too many bodies weighing on his conscious.
I'm hopeful for the Amazing Spiderman to return, Andrew Garfield always had a solid "Peter Parker" performance. Show us some of that dark place he says he went to, maybe introduce Felicia Hardy?? It's probably a given they'll have Eddie and Venom in the movie somehow.
I liked Tobey's vibe a lot too. He's old and tired and broken. That's the spiderman he is at this point. It really made the world feel alive, know what I mean? Like time actually passed.
Andrew's my fav spiderman. He's got the smack talk down which is what I think of when it comes to spidey. I didn't cry when aunt may died. Instead I thought "wow Tom's one hell of an actor". But when Andrew caught MJ and saw him blubber a bit, I couldn't help it. I teared up just a little bit. Gwen's death really caught me by surprise. I like comics, but I've always leaned towards DC so I didn't know about Gwen. And seeing that he got his moment of redemption was so good. Hell of a movie.
A bit of a stretch, but in my opinion the "home" in all the films subtitles refer to May: Homecoming - coming out that Peter is spider-man, Far From Home - Away from May, No way Home - May is gone, nothing is left.

I would love to see your thoughts on other Marvel works. Be it older movies, current movies, animated works, whatever that catches your interest. Marvel did play a big part at inspiring MHA and MHAV.

Did anyone else feel....not phased by aunt May's death? All I could think about was how good of an actor Tom is. He's so good at being a kid, ya know? He does these little whimpers that just hurt my heart. Honestly I was a little annoyed with May. In the opening when they get interrogated and the cop says she endangering Peter, I felt so bad for her. But when she pushed Peter to fix things I thought " man you really are out here endangering this boy". When Peter said it wasn't his problem, I couldn't help but agree. I liked the switcheroo making her Ben, but it wasn't something that really hit me in the feels.
It definitely got me, but I feel like… we need Ben, yanno? The whole purpose of her death is that it’s supposed to be meaningless. She might have been reckless but may always wanted to help.
I agree. The twist worked bc they knew the audience assumed the Ben thing happened prior to Spiderman's on screen arrival. But I'm shocked to think he was Spidey without the event.
Regarding May it is very much her, especially considering she met Goblin as a scared old man. It was the hero thing to do to at least try to help them. But the interrogation had my mind on that, and given it could've all been for nothing and seeing what happens to Peter as a result. Damn. He got whomped on and she was still like "naw its cool". Where is the concern for this poor kid.

MCU is probably going to in several different directions for a bit (multiverse, cosmic, street level, political, etc.) but it will converge for Secret Wars probably a decade or so out from infinity war and endgame.

Secondly I really really enjoyed reviewing the MCU, I’ll always be a comic book head first then a manga fan second. Ask pineapple literally I’m an endless source of Batman facts. I might review peacemaker when it comes out, but I’d love to do more MCU breakdowns

Normally I don't like watching mcu movies I think they're cheesey and I really can't take them seriously and if I'm being honest I still feel that way about this film but I genuinely enjoyed it. if it wasn't for my curiosity to find out if Mr. Garfield and Mr. miguere would show up I probably wouldn't have even bothered with this movie but I was thoroughly impressed.
Sorry I disagree eternals was a better movie than no way home.
