I am so sad that I didn’t go to Pita’s Planters when I was in Dallas in April, it looks amazing! I saw it on my search results, but I didn’t want to drag my partner to every plant store in the city, so I choose two on the list of Google results. I did buy a Monstera Standleyana on our last day in Dallas at Ruibals by Love Field. We went there the first day of the trip, and we went back on the last day there to get it (I didn’t want to keep it in a hotel room for a whole week.) If we ever make it back to Dallas, Pita’s is on my list of places to go. You mentioned during the video to comment our favorite plants stores whoever we live. I live in the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN. I recommend to not visit in January, because it’s very cold. 😂 But Spring, Summer and Autumn are nice. My favorite plant store in the area is called Lost In The Forrest and it is in St. Louis Park, MN. The first time I went there I was blown away because I saw SO many Plants I had only seen on UA-cam! That first time I bought a Philodendron Billietiae (this is way before they eventually hit big box stores, so I had never, ever seen one in person before.) These few years later, I currently have 63 species of common and uncommon Philodendron, and more than 50% of them are definitely from LITF. Just last weekend I brought home a second Philodendron Brandtianum to plant with my existing one because they were on sale, and an Aglaonema Golden Fluorite that was also on sale. 😊
I’m so long winded that I almost forgot to say, I LOVE that Syngonium Frosted Heart! 😍 I got one last winter and it has doubled in size. I bought it as a test to see how the thicker Syngonium grow for me. In my opinion, they are so much easier and happier in my home than the regular thinner leafed Syngonium! And this Autumn, I went ahead and bought a variegated Syngonium Chiapense. I wanted to try the Frosted Heart before spending the going rate of a variegated Chiapense! 😂 Both are beautiful though, and have been easy to care for thus far.
That is awesome! I am happy to hear you are having such good luck with yours! Chiapense is more durable for sure. You could get a good price from GreenspacesID
@ I did notice some for sale online for a little bit less after I got mine. Always happy to support my favorite small business though, and I had won a gift card from their Halloween costume contest back in October. I was actually saving the gift card for the day they got more variegated Chiapense. They usually post all the new inventory to their website on Thursdays, and I was watching and ordered it the night it was posted. I went to pick it up the following day after work and was overjoyed that it was the one pictured on their website. It had one marbled leaf and one beautiful half moon, and another leave that wasn’t open yet. When the new leaf unfurled, it is also a half moon. So beautiful! I’m happy to see that it looks like the prices on them are coming down a bit. They were larger plants when I first saw them and wanted one, but at that time those larger plants were over $300. That is why it remained a wishlist plant for a long time.
I think that Billie cross is Billietiae crossed with El Choco Red. I am very tempted to get one! I got an El Choco Red this past Autumn, and it hasn’t been very happy in my home. I think it’s a humidity issue, but it’s too large to fit in my Ikea cabinet. I think the cross looks so much more durable and easy care with those nice thick green leaves! It’s beautiful.
@ It could be a different Billietae cross, they all have the beautiful pillowy leaves from the Billie. It’s cool to see them in different shapes, I love the wider leaves with the kind of pillowy-ness of the Billietae!
Sorry for so many comments, I keep thinking of more things as I watch the video. You asked if we would buy the Aglaonemas at Pitas… I would for sure! If I could pick one plant in this video to purchase right now, it would be the Orange Sombat!

I love how you’ve analyzed the plant. I’m going to have to get one too! I think it’s a bllietae crossed with something else though
