This sounds like demo music that a company would have used during a product presentation back in the 80s or early 90s. Compared to what they use now, this is 800% the value! ;)
i could use to put in a road trip at dawn falling the night at the highway or in a peaceful joyride in the city, greetings from your home in Mexico City
As a (live) audio engineer, I appreciate how well you managed the drums -- rhythm was strong, but never overpowering. And this is in spite of all the synths you mixed into it. Good stuff! 👍
Initially, I heard this song, I was like Meh! Listened it to more than once, and initially started to like it , and now I'm addicted to this! 😅 Terrific Job on this one! Namaste from India!🙏🏻
wow.alone all gear you're using for just one track, and such a rich sound. I wonder how many days it took to be completed like this. (let alone the weeks and months you have already had the idea for this). So cool. and amazing work as always.
Amazingly composed as usual Anders. At 00:15 there is a pad/choir sound (On a Roland synth it would be named glass-choir or something similar), It's very similar to a sound used in Koto - Time ua-cam.com/video/BrbP3muhl4A/v-deo.html. I think Vangelis have used this sound too. What is the name? And what synth was used? Cheers!
Thanks! Yeah, I know, but one can overdo the VHS effect too. So many videos out there already using nothing but VHS effects. This one felt better with some hi res images. :)
@@AndersEngerJensen Ok, i see. Now i realize that there are too many videos with the effect. I think, i will try to make some synthwave, too. At least i have enough sounds for the style.
Awesome! Sounds so good on my Nuraphones (headphones). When is it going to be on Spotify? I love your music from the 8-bit Guy videos and Retro Grooves, Vol.3 on Spotify.
In time. I need a complete album first because Distrokid is where I distribute for the major streaming services. Need a few more songs to make this «Space» album I have in mind. :)
Thank you. Very glad to hear that. Bandcamp is the best option for downloads in your preferred format. Otherwise you’ll find most of my music on all the regular streaming services, Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, Deezer etc and many more. :)
I watch a lot of tech videos and the 8 bit guy and always liked his intro. BTW I'm in the process of making videos myself and I was wondering if it'll be cool if I could use your music? I don't mind giving credit where it's do and u got the right stuff.
this song could be used in some metro systems as instrumental background ambient sound... in Mexico The Mexico City Metro Could put it. Anders could offer it too.
Yeah, the MKS-80 plays all the time. The Nexus2 Parker drops in and out to create more zing and punch on the choruses and verses. It’s playing alone on the intro, counter point and ending though.
@@AndersEngerJensen Thanks. Actually, I sometimes use the same trick. For example, in my most recent one, posted this week, I used two JV-1080 sounds for the Bass. When I needed more punch, they got supplemented by a U-110 bass. ua-cam.com/video/4IL14LhNdjw/v-deo.html is the link, if you're interested.
Hmm, actually no. Not directly anyway, I’ve only listened to Town.mid, not so much Onestop.mid. Could be something subconsciously og course, but I was trying to replicate the Alpha Polaris and Alpha Centauri B songs to make enough songs for a complete space-related chill album. ;) Been meaning to rework Canyon.mid though... it’s in the pipeline.
First time I heard your music was on a video by The 8 Bit Guy. Fell in love with it immediately!
GREAT tune. Even "Shazam" was able to find it. 😃

I love your music. Got to know it through 8-Bit Guy. Makes me dream back to the 80's and always makes me in a great mood. Thank you :D
I know what music will be next on 8-bit Guy background ;)
Haha, damn.. is it that obvious?! 😂 (just wait for his new Texas tech episode in a few weeks ;))
lol, it is
on the outro of his "Timex Sinclair 2068" video 😆

I really like this kind of music. Well done Anders!
Excellent Synthpop/Synthwave tune, 1-Byte Guy (get it?) brought me here!
Absolutely love the sounds used for those driving rhythmic parts in the verses.
Thanks! That’s great to hear. I try to find the best sounds that complement each other on every song. :)
@@AndersEngerJensen Well, you choose very well on all your tracks. I admit to jumping back to 2:09 more times than most people would. lol
Reminds me of Captain Future anime TV series from the 70s. Well done!
Here because of 8-bit guy's latest episode.
I'm digging that bass hard. I love it!
Yeah, that Roland MKS-80 does pack some punch. 😎

brightens up my weekend, Thank you
Very cool Anders. Great vibe and feel. I'm impressed you found room for so many different synths! ;-)
Yea! Journey to Vega! Maybe we can visit the Mother Thing's world and see how BirdWhistle City has changed?
Great music!
And another banger from the first note. Man, I'm hooked.
Ah! The modulation at 4:17 just seals its early 90’s fate.
another hit from Anders! Great vibes and melody! 👍👍👏👏
This would be even moore awesome in 8 channel music
As allways, fantastic track! Greetings! Fan from Serbia
Awesome music, great video! I'd be happy if the space traveller crosses the galaxy, and lands on a planet that just happens to look just like Norway!
Great track as always man!
The soothing, upbeat vibe this song gives us is perfect during these not-so-soothing and upbeat times... :)
Nice, easy, relaxing. Reminds me the early Jellow Jackets tunes, like in Samurai Samba. Thumbs up!
Anders - my love goes out to you once again. You have a style that is common in all of your other songs and its awesome! The best is yet to be!
I’m getting a kind of vacation-ey Rippingtons vibe off this.
Which is a good thing.

Yamaha Motif XS7 as usual. ;)

I Like The Music You Created Anders!.What Scale That You Played?
Thanks, glad to hear that. In terms of scales, it’s not very advanced. It’s mostly dorian and lydian with a bit of flats and sharps here and there. :)

I'm fascinated by the bass at the end, starting at 4.52. Quite intriguing. Was that still the MKS-80?
