Reiner was actually one of the more popular people amongst the squad. Everyone *did* see him as a big brother figure and Isayama even said that the character was popular amongst the girls in the squad. His loyalty to his comrades he betrayed and to the country he had no choice but to serve is actually what characterizes him the most. That’s why he’s so broken now.
exactly, he is torn from his past actions as he saw both sides, the devils of Paradis were no more human than those in Marley maybe even more so. So what business or right did he have to bring down such destruction and chaos upon them? Was it really for the good of humanity that innocents died? Was it so righteous to obey the laws of a country who hates him? And what good did those choices bring? only more suffering, only more death. He sees himself as the arbiter of the chaos brought down upon the people of Paradis, but also those of Marley, his actions, his transgressions and chaos that he brought are now being return tenfold, and for what? because he was ordered to? because his life is worth more than the thousands or hundreds of thousands who have died and will die because of what he has set in motion? He sees no right choice, no retribution, only bad choices, and just punishment.
Reiner reminds me of the dude who was informant for CIA with black panthers and got Fred Hampton killed. He later on committed suicide but in interviews he would use "we" to describe both the panthers and the CIA the fact Isayama could nail the psychology of a regretful informant/double agent is really well done.

I am an anime only, but if I had to guess why falco saw himself flying with swords is because he Inherits a titan shifter, that is the only thing I can think of. -If this is the case please don't spoil it
Ep 1. To you 2000 year's ago Ep 80 from you 2000 years ago Isayama is genius about how the foreshadowing is perfect In s1 reiner said. Now you be the bad guy S4 eren: and i took that personaly
Flaco mentioned how he was flying and there were titans and swords foreshadowing the fact he's going to become a flying jaw titan that looks ironically like a falcon. But it's there to mislead you so that you would be focused on the fact he said that and you would be shocked by the detail but how would Falco know all this in the first place it's the future, you know who else foresaw the future?? Eren Kruger and Greisha Jager now this might be a bit over the top but what if the ending of aot just so happens to be that Falco eats Eren and stops the rumbling it's not to farfetched bc Reiner said multiple times that Falco is the one that needs to save them and save Gabi from the doom that awaits them I think those things come pretty well together what do others think
Good catch .. I just assumed that falco inherited Ymir's memories together with Porco's after eating the jaw titan and becoming the flying jaw, that's why in his memories/dream he saw himself using 3D maneuver gear
Don't forget reiner being crushed by the female titan because she hates reiner, but we assumed he got lucky and cut his way out of her hand when in fact that was his blood and he was steaming.
funny how they show Eren just before showing the Devil with Ymir. Also notice how young Zeke is literally holding a plush toyat 5:51 that looks like a monkey (beast titan looks like a monkey).
I’ve finished the manga but I still don’t understand why falco said he was flying around with swords in his hand. I mean he does later become the jaw Titan and memories can be inherited from the past shifters. But he never held swords in his hands in the first place nor did he have the attack Titan to see any future memories. Did I miss something?
Every single time there's an MCU story, UA-cam videos have spoilers everywhere. Yet the Attack on Titan Manga readers never do that. I wonder why they're so much nicer?
I've discover another interesting foreshadowing in the first season. But beware, it spoils the manga (very minor spoil but spoil anyway), so if you only watch the anime or you are not on date with the manga, you can skip this. Ok, so in the female titan arc, when Annie grab Armin's hood, she smiles at him. Years later, when she is out of her cocoon, she reveals that she is in love with Armin. This is not something big I admit it.
spoiler for anime if you have not read the manga (which I guess you did... not sure tho sorry) so in the rumbling he didnt use 3d gear, also it is said only the Attack titan has the ability to see past and future memories as such its either conected to the time loop theories or, well a miss hap and not only the attack titan has said ability... then it might be the memories of yimir as she is the only jaw titan who used 3D gear
Spoiler! . . . . . . I think it's more about him becoming a titan shifter, specifically becoming a flying bird jaw titan, like a falcon. He ate porco, became the jaw titan and has bird like features because he turned into a mindless titan due to zeke's spinal fluid.
@@anette8260 well well well, that was a clever one, and while I am not sure, was that bird he first saw after waking up not also a falcon? And also that generall Calvin (or so) mentioned something about flying titans... at that point I knew someone is going to fly.

@@Linkingx2 I'm sure there's is second part for this season, I also remember someone said (maybe the director) that they are going to adapt only what is in the trailer.
Even if they adapt all in 16 that chapter is too important to be left out

Also the season 2 ed foreshadowed the original ymir's death
yes that one is not only messd up, but it was under our nose the entire time... and thinking about it that was years ago till chapter 122 came out where that exact scene took place
yeah that ending basically summarized the birth of the eldian empire using the titan power
Yep and rumbling

I just realized that in addition to the ape plushy, Zeke is also playing with a horse....
A Trojan Horse
Zekes Toys (4)
Monkey - Zeke gets a monkey just like how he gets Ksaver's beast titan powers.
Horse - The horse resembles the Cart Titan because like a horse the Cart Titan walks and runs on all 4 legs.
Warrior toy 1 - Reiner Braun being a warrior candidate for Marley.
Warrior toy 2 - Bertholdt Hoover being a warrior candidate for Marley.
I am an anime only, but if I had to guess why falco saw himself flying with swords is because he Inherits a titan shifter, that is the only thing I can think of. -If this is the case please don't spoil it
heh
I don't think that line was in the manga, so I don't think it meant anything. Maybe isayama was making a joke about how far the story had come.

Isayama is genius about how the foreshadowing is perfect
In s1 reiner said. Now you be the bad guy

S1 Eren: I will kill them all
S4 Eren...
Ngl, I figured it out by looking at the eyes and hair when it first came out lol.

I didn’t notice this until the manga
Imagine if Isayama didn't knew what foreshadowing is or mean xD
this series will be my inspiration for writign!!!..so good!!!
so basically. king Karl built the kingdom so that the future generations wouldn't need to suffer from the consequences of the titan powers.
I love how everyone to pronounces "corps" with a hard "P" sound. YoU'Re SaYinG iT wRoNG!

Naruto and AOT absolute pinnacle of anime and moviemaking in general. The story, the fights, the characters are just too good.

funny how they show Eren just before showing the Devil with Ymir.
Did I miss something?
i was wondering about that too
@@zesena1895 I assume these were meant to be past memories from Ymir.
The fact that DURING WALL MARIA TAKEBACK THERE WERE ALL MARLEY TITANS IN PARADIS
Foreshadowing will be effective if it has a climactic build of the foreshadowed event which is essential in the plot.

Every single time there's an MCU story, UA-cam videos have spoilers everywhere. Yet the Attack on Titan Manga readers never do that. I wonder why they're so much nicer?
Is Falco.....?
Nah it can't be.
That falco one is still a mystery
What was Falco's dream foreshadowing? I've read the manga but I'm not sure since it was the last year when I read that part.
is it the Rumbling?
spoiler for anime if you have not read the manga (which I guess you did... not sure tho sorry)
so in the rumbling he didnt use 3d gear, also it is said only the Attack titan has the ability to see past and future memories
as such its either conected to the time loop theories or, well a miss hap and not only the attack titan has said ability...
then it might be the memories of yimir as she is the only jaw titan who used 3D gear

I think it's more about him becoming a titan shifter, specifically becoming a flying bird jaw titan, like a falcon. He ate porco, became the jaw titan and has bird like features because he turned into a mindless titan due to zeke's spinal fluid.
Honestly I should have known Falco’s name would foreshadow something. “Falcon” :’D
@@anette8260 well well well, that was a clever one, and while I am not sure, was that bird he first saw after waking up not also a falcon?
