Love this. You can also use the leftover beef the next day over rice with fresh veggies or a handful of salad mix, add gochujang (spicy korean pepper paste) to make bibimbap! Korean person speaking here. 😉 I'd love to see more Korean recipes!

I just found you about 2 weeks ago! I have already made your tomato soup and cheddar and chive scones, they were amazing! My husband said it was the best he has ever had and my father in law wanted to lick the bowl! I ordered your cook book and we have been ooohing and ahhhing over it. I am going to make this dish tonight along with the the carrot and ginger soup! Thank you so much for all the amazing recipes! Oh and I am making the baked oatmeal cups today too. Hubby and I have been binge watching the past 2 nights. We love your channel!

I make this all the time. I tossed it together once and fell in love a few weeks after using a traditional bulgogi recipe and feeling inspired. I made it with mushrooms and cooked lentils once even, and that was fabulous too. I love how quick, easy, and versatile it is. Try it with half ground beef and half ground pork sometime, it's a simple switch that takes it up a notch.

In Australia ground beefs usually known as pie meat. Mainly because we make meat pies with it. An easy one for it is put 2 cups of water in a saucepan add 300 -500g of pie meat/ground beef add a pinch of salt and boil (if it gets close to boiling dry add more water.) Once the meat is fully cooked add a sachet of instant powered rich beef gravy mixed in 1/4 cup of water. Add to meat mixture stir until gravy thickens. If it's not thick enough for your liking ad some corn starch slurry a bit at a time. If you want it a little spicy add a teaspoon of curry powder to the boiling meat. Once you have this mixture made you can have it on buttered toast as a meal or make meat pies with it. Meat pies I use puff pastry. I cover the pie dish with some luff pastry and part cook in the oven with baling beads so it doesn't puff to high. I let it cool a bit then add chilled pie meat to it then cover with puff pastry top glaze with a beaten egg if you want. Cook in a moderate oven until pastry is nice and puffy and brown. You have a slice of pie with salad or your favourite cooked veggies.

I read that as Tamarind instead of Tamari....went on a grocery hunt, and found a tamarind sauce(Tamarina, Maggie) ...then when I read it again when I got home, saw what it really was and already had the Tamari in the pantry...ooof...but I discovered this great new sauce!...win win...Do you have a recipe with tamarind sauce by any chance? I'm sure I can find one on the net, but I love your recipes...thanks for this great recipe too!

You mentioned doing this with mushrooms. As much as I love bulgogi, the combo with a variety of mushrooms sounds so good. Would you do the sauce at the same time as the mushrooms since they cook so fast or would that make the mushrooms soggy?
