- I review, breakdown and explain Presumed Innocent episode 3. I discuss the Apple TV+ show which stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Rusty Sabich as he's accused of the murder of his colleague Carolyn Polhemus. I react to the theory of Barbara being behind it, Michael sending the text message, and the revelation during the ending of Kyle being photographed on the night. I also compare the story to the 1990's movie which starred Harrison Ford and the novel from the 1980s. I also give my theories and predictions on episode 4.

So OBVIOUSLY the wife - I knew it was her after her and Rusty’s first conversation.
Also, she had access to the photographs of the prior case.
I feel like the whole family is connected. Some of Barbara's paintings were in Caroline's house after her death which could mean they had contact at some point and the son was spotted outside the house after Rusty left. We're yet to see the Daughter's involvement if she has any at all.
This show is absolutely brilliant at the moment. Got this on Wednesday's then The Boys on Thursday's.
It’s the wife absolutely 💯! There is nothing else going on. It’s plain old Barbara he’ll realize it and confront her. He’ll keep silent however.
That's what the book and movie's ending. The wife did it.

Did anyone notice the painting at Caroline’s house when he goes back to her house during the prints and dna sample collecting. The painting is pretty similar to a few of the styles shown at Barbara’s workplace.

When they said "delay"... i thought he was laughing at him calling him a special person.
Then they explained the "delay" part.

Why?
There’s no way she’s that submissive. She said that his previous affair destroyed her.
She figured out that it was back on, went around with the pretense of having a woman to woman talk with Caroline, and ended her. She made it look like a previous case to put the suspicion on her husband. She ideally wanted to keep him and get rid of the homewrecker but, losing them both might be unnecessary evil. Either way, she’s not being cheated on anymore.
Remember the son said can you take a plea deal. Maybe the son caught his dad one night and then killed her. And set his dad up.

Maybe? Caroline had empathy towards children. He might have said that he needed to talk and been tearful and she would’ve let him in.
Fun fact, none of the actors knew who the murder was till the last episode.

Its only the new deputy DA that is obsessed and withholding things. His boss who was just elected also is concered about his behaviour and told him in that conversation they had

Its someone from Rustys office that knew how the other woman was killed. If Barbara did it she would have just killed her while confronting her, she would be too upset to tie her up and stage the scene. I feel like its the Lawyer trying to pin it on Rusty because he is such a dick. I feel like someone else will be introduced in later episodes

My guess is one of the kids killed Carolyn. Since this series has already strayed from the book...it's one of the kids and not the wife.
His son definitely knows that barbara was going to caroline's house. i think he knows that she went but doesnt know that she killed caroline

there is that guy who might killed Bany Davis and Carolline secrecy it might had a secret relationship with him next to Rusty

i just started to watch the series , i was thinking that Barbara is the killer, ( a revenge for the affaire). After watch the episode i did a fast search and i found that there is a book and a movie... I mean, its a kind of predictable

Further thoughts.... Mum finds out about the affair... Somehow confides in her son... Son links up with the dead D.A's son to catch them in the act and expose them... Mom comes to tell them to stop... There's an argument... An accident occurs and wife probably has seen the pic of the previous case... They team up to recreate it... That's why, there was no S.A from the autopsy...
