What I love about that first album is that it still has the feel of two school-friends messing about and seeing what works. I hope they never lose that, as that is a huge part of their charm.
I love their creative, unconventional style, these girls are so young and don't give a single fuck, they colour outside the lines, to me their songs are hit and miss, but I love the confidence they have to do their own thing, very cool
Whether or not you like it, they are feeling it out, playing different instrumenta on each track and doing it on their own and their way. Massive fucking respect. Hopefully after a few EPs ir whatever they'll have reigned it in and can make something I woulf pay for.
Let me get this straigt. "Feeling it out" (which is your assumption not a fact) and playing a different instrument on every track (no matter how good) is what makes the great music. Some people just write nonsense not even noticing it..
Олег Малыхин Normally I wouldn't have to ask the average person whether they knew who Trent Reznor was but you seem to be dumber than your average music 'fan'... He is Nine Inch Nails and would tell you himself that he is a novice at every instrument, yet he ises his vast and eclectic dabling to make dense and diverse music that makes him like no one else. So while he couldn't swap instruments with a professional guitarist etc...he can make mind blowing revolutionary music with the exponential options available to him because of all the instruments he can play and understand how they blend together to make **SONGS**. Kurt Cobain had a voice that broke and mediocre guitar skills, but made some of the most memorable songs ever heard. I am talking about the culmination of their instrument playing their blend and diversity of sounds, in order to creat new and unique music. That is what this band here offers and is bettering themselves at. They, like trent reznor, would never claim to be an expert at any instrument, but their diverse knowledge allows them to make SONGS that simple fucks like you who focus on skill in a single instrument, seem way out of touch.
Is it a 'Let's Eat Grandma' we are talking about? Or my personality and bunch of other bands and performers who have nothing to do with them? I would take it with industrial band as an example but bringing Kurt in the comment section of this video that is a grand gesture indeed. How many bands you know in general? From your examples I wouldn't dare to guess more than 5. "Culmination of their instrument playing their blend and diversity of sounds" That how you sell art. I've once witnessed as one couple bought a statue made of rabbit shit, for 20 grand, of course it wasn't rabbit shit that was mentioned but a "droppings of the hare". You can make words as you wish my fiesty frined. It won't change the matter itself though.
Saw them at Airwaves at Harpa and their show was amazing. Watching them whip their hair around stage, and play every instrument live with insane transitions was incredible. Fan.
Said it elsewhere, and I'll say it here. I like them. I'm an old "rocker", who can almost claim to have not liked anything new in thirty years. But I find their sound captivating.
Well. As a 30 year old male in a blue collar industrial field I feel like I have no one to talk about this with lol. These girls are absolutely killing it. You never know where the song is going, it just keeps building and changing into something even more sick.
one of my fav tracks from the excellent debut album by these 17yo school girls ! their music reminds me of a cross between 1970's Eno crossed with early tubeway army (late 70's)
I get in to a lot of typed of music metal goth rock punk and so on im 61 and know good music when i hear it and thats what these two young girls do and they have so much talent they may go out side of the norm so what i really like there stuff great siund
Great stuff. This reminds me of early Sugarcubes (Iceland connection there). I dig the hippie-dippy meets teenage basement rave vibe. Let your freak flag fly ladies!
These girls are insanely talented, creative and intuitive beyond their years. Anyone who criticizes this creativity is a bully and has an inferiority complex.
What a crass comment. Anybody has a right to criticism that does not involve degrading, abusive, misogynistic, racial etc slurs. So you have an all abiding love of all musical art forms do you? Metal, Punk, Ska, Goth, EDM, Techno, Acid House, Grime etc? Have you never criticised anybody in those genres that are equally talented and creative? No? I seriously doubt that you or anyone has ever embraced all so that just begs the question - who did you bully with your thoughts then?
This is awesome in a really weird way man. I think it's just the name that's causing it though... LET'S EAT GRANDMA??????? Not regretting this new find of the day though! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
i like em too, but grimes is very different xD i like the teamplay in this one^^ it works, and pitch ups and down in voices :P they do different and dont give a shit (sry about my english)
I've said it on other chats but maaaan would SOMEone make the movie GingerSnaps III so these unique, tweaked, and spot on women can play the sisters' roles, as well as the soundtrack?!? Theyd be perfect. It would be perfect
I heard they're from the same region, bit the blonde one has a poshier accenf while curls enunciates a lot with the throat and has sounds super nasal. I think that's a Manchester accent, but I'm not sure.

@David Davidson I don't think so.
I love their creative, unconventional style, these girls are so young and don't give a single fuck, they colour outside the lines, to me their songs are hit and miss, but I love the confidence they have to do their own thing, very cool
Creative, talented, young, multi-instrumentalists ... they are great.
I love this band.
I always assumed that to be a multi-instumentalist, you had to actually know how to play the instruments.
@@yvranx Not sure how far you can get with a low-performing brain that assumes such rubbish.
music like this, with so much space and personality, takes patients and confidence, I'm amazed at their age that they have both
Whether or not you like it, they are feeling it out, playing different instrumenta on each track and doing it on their own and their way.

I can remember feeling like this and it is wonderful.
This is so odd to me... but their creativity and energy are absolutely intoxicating.
Stop trying to be profound for the sake of it. Idiot lol They're just noise!
Saw them at Airwaves at Harpa and their show was amazing. Watching them whip their hair around stage, and play every instrument live with insane transitions was incredible. Fan.
They're kickass... new style, showmanship, disregard for the norms, and breathtaking...
Really unique and talented! Thank you KEXP for filming this great performance.
Love the lyrics and rap great song
I put this on while giving my cat a bath. It was as soothing an experience as you can imagine. Highly recommended!
They just look like they're having so much fun, great to see
Supported them in Glasgow in October. They had a lot of gear for two young lassies! Amazing energy.
Said it elsewhere, and I'll say it here. I like them. I'm an old "rocker", who can almost claim to have not liked anything new in thirty years. But I find their sound captivating.
Well, they are taking some influence from Pink Floyd here. Thay ominous intro has many ingredients in common with Echoes and SOYCD.
I love how free their music is
Washing Machine my bloody valentine
this song is awesome.
watching these girls makes me so damn happy!! favourite band ever tbh

Also the way she sings "but you made it now" at 5:15.
:o
yeah, I get really heavy "cocorosie" vibe from the way she sings that
I actually really like this? I dont really get why everyone in the comments is shitting on them they're kinda just jamming out
I really think this is going to get huge. Love them.
Why so much hate? They're young and talented let them experiment and grow as musicians
They are young and they certainly need to grow as musicians.
y'all are so Incredible
Thanks youtube, thanks KEXP...so GOOD!
Le agradezco a KEXP por presentar buenas bandas amplía los gustos de uno!!!
Man.....that's a lot of hair.
Think of all the hair dolls you could make!
Vudu dolls! :D
Cousin It.
A fucking shitload of talent, too. Most interesting band I've heard in the last twenty years.
so so so good
I get in to a lot of typed of music metal goth rock punk and so on im 61 and know good music when i hear it and thats what these two young girls do and they have so much talent they may go out side of the norm so what i really like there stuff great siund

GENIUS
yes!
Phenomenal.
That girl is literally just spamming all of the toy instruments she had as a child.
*It's amazing*
Cool band
The core of this song is so good. Trim the filler instruments and this is an incredible song with some very talented singers/lyricists.
This makes me feel like I should go to more live concerts that are going on in my country.
I actually dig this. Keep it up girls!
They're actually Grandmas.
super!!!!!
une douce folie
i like how rosa’s hip hop verse is the most replayed part of the song
dopeness
loved it
That rug really ties the room together.
eargasm
They look the same 😲
The good news with music is that you can do whatever you fucking want. I dig it :)
If they ever remake "Suspiria," this group MUST do the score.
They did remake Suspiria - check Amazon Prime.
Their song on the cyberpunk2077 album brought me here
This is awesome in a really weird way man. I think it's just the name that's causing it though... LET'S EAT GRANDMA??????? Not regretting this new find of the day though! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

This is great. They should join The Garden and jam.

people who think this is weird or pretentious have clearly never been to an indie gig in the uk before loool
Let's NOT eat grandma - but shiitakes? Yes.
nice to see the girls from the Shining getting creative
this reminds me of that episode of family guy where peter and lois get really high and make music
Ok, now I like them again...
This is weird and I'm not that into the music but they are able to hold my attention.
I've said it on other chats but maaaan would SOMEone make the movie GingerSnaps III so these unique, tweaked, and spot on women can play the sisters' roles, as well as the soundtrack?!? Theyd be perfect. It would be perfect

Steven Egan it's a mandolin lol... so yeah? I guess
Madness!
Is that a portuguese guitar i see her playing? Nice sounds
Glad to have known this band before I saw this vid. Cocorosie vibes
Estoy confundida, fue extraño, no se si me gusta, o lo odio
The singing part was kinda nice but then the flute thing happend...wtf man
Creamshaker its a recorder like you know... something you learn in 4th grade..
what recorder?? she was playing flute really badly
Creamshaker no the instrument is a recordwr
Makes me think of a younger Cocorosie
that was my favourite part! so dope
Better than justin Timberlake and Jay-Z and one direction and most of the bland shite in the chart nowadays
Это круто! Где просмотры?
Therese Coffey brought me here 🤣

Anyone else thinking. er. has anyone thought to check?...what if her grandma is really missing?

椎茸好きなのかな?
Got a feeling they really ate the grandma..
Are these girls the ones that appear on Wolves Without Teeth by Of Monsters And Men?
Oh damn
They remind me of Cocorosie.
I heard this on spotify discover and was 100% sure it was Cocorosie. Back when they still made great music.
Now play JaJa Ding Dong!!!
Only in Iceland..................
shinymetallicpurplearmor They're English...
