  • There are many people who think that the main aspect of being a Christian is going to conferences, sharpening their theology, and having famous authors on their shelves. But isn't it interesting that Jesus doesn't mention any of these things as commendations on Judgment Day? We need to be people who have theology that actually impacts their lives to where they reach this dark world with the light of the gospel.

I beg you Lord to help me I feel so stuck in sharing the gospel I asked for your forgiveness for not trusting you.

B ndfglvlld Djdkfkfkf God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. If you will acknowledge your own sin before God, and recognize that you can’t save yourself, Jesus Christ is ready to come and make His abode with you. You just have to accept Him and believe from your heart that He was raised from death. God wants you to be saved, please come to Him. If you come to Him, He will never cast you out. God’s will is that all who come to Jesus Christ will never be lost. God bless your soul.

Yes. because Christ died for me, and it’s only by His blood that I am right with God. This applies to all believers, and Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is our only hope.

He's spot on, and he's definitely not defending Calvinism. His main point is for us to preach the Gospel to all of creation as Jesus commanded in (Mark 16:15). To think his theology is all over the place, when in fact his message is pretty clear, is probably the result of Satan skewing your thinking. So, push Satan aside instead, and not the truth of this Pastor's sermon.

Pastor, thank you for the message. How can I evangelize other people, when my own life is such a poor witness? Many times I want to say some things about Christ, but I don’t want to reflect negatively on Christ, predominantly regarding my habitual use of profanity and coarse talk. Very many things have been put away. Some things still remain. How do I evangelize even those who know me best? It seems my walk is a continual, slow grind of sanctification. At what point am I even “good enough” to evangelize others? Please tell me how to “trade my talent “.

Strive against sin throughout, and look for opportunity God would have you to witness in. It may be that you are not positioned to witness to everyone in every situation (namely in the midst of your struggles with sin), but there may be times where you are granted an open door to be a witness for Christ and speak on behalf of the Gospel to be an instrument for the glory of God. Try to be ready. ( www.BLB.org )

After I listened to this sermon there's a burden that is placed in my heart to go out in there, outside the world and "preach" and do "good works" as this sermon says in Matthew 25, food to the hungry and water to the thirsty and clothe the naked. Are these really the basis of being a "Christian"?This made me think of salvation by good works which is unbiblical because salvation is alone is a gift through faith in the Lord Jesus, lest no one should boast. Just saying is that "good works" are the results of the Spirit, "Philippians 2:13 : For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." how about Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them? The whole sermon points out what man can do in on how "Living in Light of Judgment day"instead of pointing man to "Christ and His glorious works".
It is really important to STUDY the Bible DEEPLY so one can DISCERN if something is biblical or Not.
I used to listen to your sermons but this one? Not for me.

I think it's worth considering that he was reading straight from the Bible regarding what happens on judgement day.
I don't believe he was teaching salvation by works. He was pointing out that we should be engaging in works yes, but I didn't hear salvation by works. His message is a call to action in light of judgement day, not works to be saved then. I realize that sounds the same perhaps, but hopefully I'm making sense.
How do you understand the judgment scenario in the Bible? It seems to clearly outline judgement based on what was or was not done.

    • @Mr.RueBean
      @Mr.RueBean 4 роки тому +2

He certainly doesn’t teach salvation by works. This sermon is simply one that works best in tandem with his others. My understanding is that the good works are a fruit of true faith and what he is saying is that in judgement day the ones with true faith in Christ will be distinguished from everyone else. He is telling us to spread the gospel and be kind and generous to those who need. Not to be complacent with just church on Sundays. Everyone will be judged that’s more certain than death. That doesn’t mean we are saved because we did anything, for all we do, we do through faith and it doesn’t come of ourselves.

The same in music when a verse is repeated. It's known as - " Driving the message home ". It stresses the importance of the theme of the message. It may have been an annoyance to you, but not to most who understood the reason why....as apparantly you didn't.

      Imperial Elixir
      1. He equates Calvin with Christ. That’s a no-go.
      2. He’s guilt tripping his people to works as if that’s gonna justify them before God.
      3. If Calvinism is true, which I believe it’s not, then you won’t have to evangelize & reach the lost if only the elect are saved. But yet he’s critizing Hyper-Calvinist for simply believing this false teaching.

    • @LeevesFPS

Dorian Johnson many Calvinist believe there is a mystery in salvation. A person actively and personally chooses to believe in Jesus Christ, but we all know that God is completely sovereign. You can not deny both realities. So this keeps us focused on sharing the gospel, while at the same time feeling confident until the end knowing that we are “Chosen by God” in Paul’s words.
