    Which bushings did you use for the lower camber arm, or would the regular pair of bushings work from the control arm? Also, the trailing arm, did you change that bushing?

  • @forceartz6522
    @forceartz6522 6 років тому

    does camber change anything when you are going into a curve, so without you can go faster into a curve, but with camber you cant cause you will spin out, makes sense but is that true? or are the tyres flat on the ground

    Do you just loosen the diff bolts to move it or do you remove them all the way?

  • @premierpowerwashing6634
    @premierpowerwashing6634 5 років тому

    So for the driver side bolt to come out you just loosened the 2 diff bolts but didn't need to take them out all the way? That gave u enough room to move the diff enough to get the bolt out?

    Great video, thanks for making it. I just swapped my entire e46 suspension and a lot of it had to do with your videos, so a big thank you. Your video really shows step by step and made it easy for us weekend warriors! Cheers!

    With all the ecs suspension kit , how different is the ride quality from oem?

    • @StaticGarageUSA
      @StaticGarageUSA  6 років тому

      Slightly stiffer but still maintains the smooth OEM feel.

    What wheels are those? Im definitely putting those on! I am running a 330 CI, and I just put these Control Arms on and I didnt have to touch the DIFF...hmm...maybe because I have a coupe?

    • @StaticGarageUSA
      @StaticGarageUSA  6 років тому

      Possible! Make sure to get an alignment ASAP. The wheels are ESR SR08s

    Your done with suspension but havent done rtabs or rcabs or diff bushings? Hit up condoor speed shop and refresh everything you can. Not sure how many miles you have, but the bushings go to shit pretty quick on the e46 unless you go poly or delrin.

    • @StaticGarageUSA
      @StaticGarageUSA  6 років тому

      Im upgrading the bushings with the ones from ECS.

    • @deplorabledave1048
      @deplorabledave1048 5 років тому

      Only place on A Streetcar that I like to see solid bearings is on the Rtabs.
      Medium durometer polyurethane is fine everywhere else.
      Avoid spherical bearings or solid bearings for any street car except for the Rtabs.
      The company that makes them is bimmerworld. Here is a link to the video
      ua-cam.com/video/_A6SqbMowgE/v-deo.html
      At $200 they are pricey. I actually run stock Rtabs made by Lemforder( Dirt Cheap on eBay) with limiters made by Turner Motorsports.
      My next upgrade is set of these these ball bearing bushings by Bimmerworld.
      Like I said, this is the one place where I would run ball bearings instead of polyurethane.
      Watch the video. That Asian guy Sean really knows his shit.

    Are those adjustable camber arms and is so what brand

  • @deplorabledave1048
    @deplorabledave1048 5 років тому +1

    Rear camber arms are a must on a lowered car. They are a bitch to install however. But great when you need to adjust them when getting alignment.
    I got a set made by Turner Motorsports. I think most of them on the market are pretty good though.
    I don't know CA tuning. Are they lower end Chinese made Company? They should probably be fine anyways.
    Just avoid Chinese-made batteries and tires. I have several items made in China on my M3 and they are fine. You just need to be selective.

    • @StaticGarageUSA
      @StaticGarageUSA  5 років тому

      CA Tuned is a company from California that specialize in alot of BMW suspension components.

    • @deplorabledave1048
      @deplorabledave1048 5 років тому

      Yep. I looked them up. Mostly high end German stuff. Good stuff. I think their own brand is scored from China, but it looks pretty good quality. It would not stop me.
      To tell you the truth, I a BIG fan of Taiwan products. My Federal tires are made in Taiwan. They are awesome. 265/35 x18 (square set up) for $89 A TIRE SHIPPED.
      Taiwan metal work and welding are top. All Rogue Engineering mufflers and pipes are made in Taiwan. Great welds/workmanship.
      They seem to have something for everybody and every pocket book which I like.
      I like the company. Never heard of them. So, thanks. I will keep looking at what they have to offer. I just may use them sometime.
