Just imagine if all billionaires could be as amazing as this woman. This world would be a happier place
Amen
Nothing is ever good enough for this generation. Just greedy
Most of them are. They pledged to give all of their money already. IT goes to charities afterwards.
Nothing is good enough for this generation

As a student, I understand their relief. This is amazing! I'm so so so happy for these students.
All med school needs tuition fee free.
@@shohelihossain8121I agree on med school and any study that saves lives like nursing for example. Only selfless occupations should be rewarded with free education! The rest can pay for themselves or use grants if they qualify
This is the king of human being that we need in this world. God bless her for ever!

Or King+Queen

Yeah, that same "god" that created all of the unnecessary suffering the potential to unfold. Disgusting illogical thinking!

Im not a student & it brought tears to my eyes, God is good!
Ruth is good. Her faith and her goodwill gained from her religion are good.
@@innos3ntCrim3God is good.
No god isn't good because he doesn't exist. This is ONLY because of her. Credit where credit is due.
Nah, Ruth and her great late husband are good for building and donating their wealth
God is working through Ruth.
"With this money do what you think is right" and what a powerful thing she did. Changing lives. ♥️♥️♥️
Ni chiah mai ..🤝
Need more uplifting news like this. These are the dreams our country is built on
MUCH RESPECT.
Why? She's a paid liar
This is news worth sharing, not the negative narrative that is spread everywhere.
So wonderful! What an amazing lady!
Ruth Gottesman is former professor and part of a prominent Jewish family that has donated to many organizations.
Bravo! You did a wonderful thing Mrs Gottesman ❤
Jeff Amazon could learn something…..
Jeff donated a $500million yacht to himself
How refreshing to listen to a positive reality story. God Bless Mrs.Gottesmam and I am very happy for all the students. What a great weight of their family’s shoulders. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
What an incredible lady! Respect
This is one of the clips I have ever watched man😢. I wish all the people were such kind hearted and philanthropic in this world full of hate and despair. Thank you to Mrs Ruth gottesman and this was really inspiring.
what a Great woman!! God Bless You Ruth
A true Blessing to others. And hopefully these future doctors will pay that blessing forward & be a true Blessing to others in their practices.
💙🇺🇸💚👍😇
Hope and pray, there will be someone in the Philippines to do this noble did. GOD bless you Ms Ruth.
What an amazing woman! Ms Ruth Gottesman is truly a wonderful person... what an impressive good deed she has done! ❤
In my country, Iran, 45 years ago, all university students could go to university without paying tuition fees, and they even received a scholarship every month.
High-ranking students went to foreign universities with government grants. they did not need donation to cover their expenses
and returned to Iran after completing their studies and were given important jobs.
But now even elementary school students have to pay a lot of money to study 45 years ago, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi was the king of Iran
But need to consider the quality of education too
She knows that it does not profit a person if one gains the whole world but will loses one’s soul! Wise woman, generous woman, blessed woman and kind woman too!
Rich people all over the world - hope they will also follow suit and help in such generous actions that’ll stir a mass movement of giving / paying it forward
Ms. Gottesman's gesture is priceless. No dictionary carries enough and suitable words to praise the height of this lady. What a beautiful sole She's. ❤
After food, shelter and health facilities its only Education which is needed to nurture a healthy, vibrant and prosperous society. Ms. Ruth has done her part wonderfully and at the same time she tabled a big big question for the Government who chopping away massive amount of hard earned tax payers money but, in return, giving out less than a peanut to the nation. What a pity. 😓
Incredible what an amazing opportunity this lady has given everyone. ❤
That is a noble and kind act by this woman. I'm sure she knows her days are numbered and she doesn't need all that money.
WOW . People like her make their name in History and Hearts. Other must learn.
This is beautiful LFG!!!
Much Respect for the lady who donated.
Your heart is beautifully big, and bless it, sweet heart. Good God, what a gift this woman has given
More rich people need to do this!
Thats what we more of!!!
There is still hope.
I'm so happy for them! Wow!
What an amazing woman
What a wonderful gift. I hope these future health care providers will pay it forward in the work they do and the good they can do for their community
What a difference THEY'VE made. That man was a Billionaire. And he sat on it. No yachts. No football clubs. No School vanity. Good on both of them and Congratulations to all those hard working students
I'm sure they were already very wealthy, but I heard that even Dr. Gottesman was surprised at the amount her husband left her. That's hiding money from your wife in the best possible way!
And guess what: here in Germany its normal that you can study for free at a university. :) but im happy for these people 👍
That's the kind of philanthropy we need to see from many more of the obscenely rich. They can surely afford to give back a little to the country that has enabled them to skim the cream and more than their fair share off our capitalist economy. We will need many, many more doctors as old folks like me begin to need more medical care.
We don't need philanthropy, we need public policies that prioritize education and the public financing of it through taxes. Philanthropy is descriminatory and whimsical as it was in this case. Descrimination and whimsy is not a way to run a country. I know this is pie-in-the-sky wishing, but so is philanthropy.
She is a real HERO ❤
God bless her !
I wonder if the irony of this is lost on people, that her charity is a manifestation of the dysfunciton of Americal culture and public policy. Access to education in the USA, a means to better society and it's members, is often accomplished or increased though the uncertain whims and selectivity of charity rather than public policy. In most other developed countries, higher education is largely paid by government through taxes, for the benefit of all or most. The same can be said of health care. And when it comes to diginified retirement in the USA, it is at the whims of an employer and or stockmarket.
This is no different than tipping. Underpay employees so that their incomes are subsidized by the whims of customers' tips.
That moment when no one disagrees and this isn’t edgy to say. It’s awesome. This perspective is now mainstream.
❤❤❤ Bless her heart ❤❤❤
Time for other Billionaire Alumni to step forward. Zuckerberg where are you?
Amen😊
Bless you!
When God blesses you with prosperity, you please Him by blessing those who are less fortunate, and you never lose. Ruth and David Gottesman must be Jewish and would most likely be practioners of Malachi 3:10. These are people who understand the purpose of wealth. You can't carry it with you when you die.
God continue to bless their family.
In 15 seconds, Dr. Gottesman vaporized between $200,000 - $250,000 of medical school debt for thousands of future medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
May God bless you Dr
WOW👍
And what is the endowment @ Harvard or almost any ivy league school? I’m confident it will also cover tuition for all its students.
I know this was a rhetorical question, but you prompted me to look into it. As of a few years ago, $49.4 billion for Harvard and $36.5 billion for Stanford.
Working with very rough enrollment and undergrad tuition numbers for Harvard, they could cover all students for a couple billion a year, forever. A fraction of the profits and interest they gain each year.
@@lvjb Thanks for your reply. Even if the endowments of Harvard were placed into a 100% secure US backed bond, the interest alone would cover the tuition of each and every student currently attending Harvard.
i salute to iron lady donation of $ 1.000000000,wish u good luck for next
This is AWESOME.
✌️
Ruth you are amazing. 🙏
This is great and I want to keep an open mind. Does anyone know if this donation has any financial/tax benefits for the donor and college? Just curious
No tax benefits will outweigh the 1 billion dollars she gave away and that money is literally going towards tuition. They are going as far as to reimburse the students. There's little to no avenues for corruption.
I mean, as someone who is learning about tax accounting, I think the most you can get is a charitable contribution deduction if you itemize your deductions. That said, it depends on certain factors, such as if the school qualifies as an institution where you can deduct donations as charitable contributions. Even then, there is a limit to how much you can deduct so I know that the donor will not be able to deduct the entirety whatsoever. The remaining not deducted can be carried forward to future years to be deducted but there’s only so many years you can carry forward excess charitable contributions. That is all to say, I think the only tax benefit to the donor is that they can deduct a portion of it on their tax return. As for the college, I have no idea.
Granted, this is just coming from a student who is studying tax accounting and is not someone who is out in practice yet. You’d find a more informed answer from a professional.
Europe - Wait! People have to pay to be in school? I thought it’s always free
yes.ok
I am sorry, but this is so wrong: EDUCATION SHOULD BE EFFING FREE. In my country no med student pays for their education - and neither does any other student.
As for the US - how many talented youngsters do not get the education, they deserve, because they cannot afford to pay those sums.
God bless Mrs. Gottesman❤
Rich students smiling like: I'm happy for my friends.
Feckin brilliant.
We shouldn't depend on the largesse of billionaires to be able to meet society's needs, but the genuine philanthropy of a good-hearted individual can change hundreds of lives directly, and thousands indirectly.
Bless this lovely lady.
It's a great initiative towards a better future. These resident doctors can actually use the profession to what it actually is meant to be , to try and save as much as lives as possible without having a mental burden to run behind money to close off their student loans...
May God bless you Dr ❤️❤️❤️
This is SO great!!!!❤❤❤
Beautiful Heart
That is so awesome 👏
wow just wow thats amazing
Hi this woman DESERVES A STANDING OVATION FROM THE HEAVENS! THEY DON'T MAKE HUMANBEINGS LIKE HER ANYMORE! SHE IS AN ANGEL 😇 GOD SENT TO ALL HUMANITY! AMEN 🙏
Maybe our country's problem is prenuptial agreements. Billionaire's wives are giving money away that their husbands should have been doing. Like Jeff Bezos' ex wife, Steve Job's widow, this professor etc. 😂😂😂
Jkjk
Maybe our country's problem is that too many people rely on billionaires' wives giving money away, instead of haing a public pulicy that funds education, retirement and health care so adequately through taxes that we don't have to rely on billionaires' wives.
Can you do engineers next? lol. This is amazing thing. Competition for this school is going be tougher then all IVY leagues combined.
Who else is upset and wishes they attended this med school
Great lady.....my respect....from North Italy
In not from US, but i would like to say thank you!
no one can spend that amount of money in a human lifetime. she knows what’s worth it.
life is great
Yeah when billionaires give the billions away
Not all heroes where capes
And she is a American Jewish...🇺🇸🤝🇮🇱
Imagine that the US government has sent almost 200 times that donation to Ukraine. If only they made 200 colleges tuition free instead.
Fantastic.❤️
Now that's giving back to the community.
God bless her
what is a tuition? asking as a german :D
Whole world's wide become doctors only 5 years no MCAT TEST . WHOLE WORLD'S WIDE MED SCHOOL tuition fee free bcoz this profession great profession . Doctors saves life's that why doctors should be stress free
God bless
Amazing. ❤️❤️❤️
And the nation in need of charity boasts of its greatness🇺🇸
Go's bless her
Praise God!!
Imagine having to pay for school
Danke
Could someone inform me about the selection process required to enroll in this university?
2% acceptance rate and money will only give free tuition for about 7 years
Now imagine if the top 5 billionaires did this or even 500 million at more schools. So many people would be able to graduate with almost no debt. It also has me wondering if this will affect students going to that school ability to get smaller loans for housing and books.
Damn thats great for them
She gives a 1 billion dollar endowment, and everyone gets free tuition.
Harvard has a 50 billion dollar endowment and charges students $83,000 a year. 🤔Couldn't they give free admission.
Imagine you JUST graduated 😢
Oh I love it.
Bangladesh poor country but All MED SCHOOL ALMOST tuition fee free . AMERICA NEEDS MORE MED SCHOOL
While a wonderful thing - get ready for every medical student aspirant to move to new York to go to school for free.
Get ready also for:
Higher/Difficult attendance (GPA) requirements
Higher standards
Higher rent for students due to inflation/demand
Potential misuse of funds for university projects/lining tenured professor pockets - hope they get the audit contingency in place asap
This school will go from being the lowest to being the highest and most competitive medical schools in the world from this donation.
The school has been one of the best med schools in the country. It's always been hard to get into. It is rank 13th in the US and the best in NY
why is a school of medicine named after Einstein🤔?
All med school needs tuition fee free bcoz many doctors suicide for tuition fee n MCAT EXAM N ALMOST 12 TH YEARS STUDY.
Finally some good news in the world!😂
👍🏻 edit: i actually liked it. this initiative. 👍🏻👍🏻
Very kind of her, but misplaced charity, I think. Doctors are the LAST people who need financial help. Don’t cry crocodile tears for someone whose first year base pay in FM is over $200K. They’ll be just fine!
"Gottesman" = "God's Man". Interesting to observe the Hidden Flow of Karma sometimes.
That is deep.......good catch...
God is GOOD. !!!!
@@randymann2082 OK , so who gave Ruth the money ?? Go argue with a brick wall
