- i was really proud of this idea and i definitely could have done better as far as the sound goes HOWEVER i was really eager to get it out because i still like it a fair amount. hope the few slip ups here and there aren't too much to deal with !

the lyrics are from billie eilish, and there is a part in it where she says "and i stepped off the golden" which is referring to the golden gate bridge. so yes, in a way, it is talking about suicide. but the song is also just about a dream she had with the bridge an ddedicated to her brother, finneas

the vibe all of these 'putting a spin on x' covers give me is that the singer is in, like, a post-apocalyptic world and they found these songs, but only the lyrics and a bit of the sheet music, so they try and reconstruct the songs as accurately as they can. idk, maybe i've been playing too much fallout, but that's what it feels like to me.

Man, this song sung like this reminded me of the last couple of years. Was really struggling with my self image and some bad thoughts. I thought no body cared about me but I kept telling myself to keep pushing because I’ll really help someone in the future and I have to be there for them. Right as I started giving up, I met my best friend. She helped me see my self worth and showed me that I’m not alone. I always had nightmares bc of how I felt and it would really haunt me. I told her about them and she helped cleared my mind. If I had a problem, she could tell me how to fix it. She then told me what has been happening in her home life and it was my turn to help her. That little thing I told myself about having to stay alive to help someone in the future had come true. Made me really appreciate who I have in my life right now. ♥️

ok so i know i’m late but i just found u today and i’m binging all ur videos but i was so worried to watch this because i was so scared that it would ruin taxi cab for me.. taxi cab has helped me through some hard nights in the past and i have a deep emotional connection with tøp that i just don’t seem to have with billie, and i was afraid i would lose it with this song. but you did the best job of changing them enough to shake it up a lil and give it your own twist but you kept enough to still sound like the original. i don’t think anyone else could pull that off so beautifully so thank you so so much... really, you’re amazing... 💕
