I have seen several fish missing a pec fin on one side or the other. Is that something the hatchery does to mark bred fish or something other ? Does anyone know ?
Definitely a possibility but I don't know myself.
i heard when they rub it against the concrete in the tanks it just rubs off

Didnt consider the concrete runs. I know tails are damaged but that makes sense.

I agree that happens and is frustrating . You also get people making 30 to 40 yd casts all the way up the creek and nobody can fish there with their line in the way. Gotta find that balance.
