    These are pies of dreams. Pies from the past, the ones fully stuffed with meat, pastry not too thick I used to see in shops and drool over.

    Superb! I made your corned beef cottage pie today for my family visiting us. They took the remnants for dinner tomorrow. One 340g tin is enough for 4 adults and 2 very young children. Two massive French baguettes helped. They also snaffled the Co-Op trifle that I had bought for dessert. Bloody Gannets!😘

    This looks brilliant. I am going to make this at the weekend for me, my wife and our kids. Will serve it with steamed broccoli, plus some carrots and peas.

    When I moved house, mam & dad helped. Mam made a plate pie, minced beef & onion. The removal men said it was the best thing they’d ever been given 😊
    Looks a great recipe & I’ll be trying it

    I am so glad that you call it Wooster sauce instead of how the Americans try to say it , Worcestershire and they break it up into three parts. I agonise when ever I hear them.

      One of my Fav's Eric Not yet mate - Lamb mince here at the moment is very poor - So it could br a cottage pie fist basically the same but with Beef.

    If the mince is that red, lean and you get it from the local market I would guess that it's buffalo mince Khun Rik since you live in Chiang Mai. However if it came from the supermarket I really have no idea because they don't sell buffalo meat in there for sure.

      I use the mince beef at Makro Chiangmai and I think they may mince up all the over stock that has not been sold - thts the usual practice. You could be right though Sarawut that is for sure - you never know here! Best, Rik
