Central Florida here and it’s HOT , just found a spot that in super excited to visit, I just have to get out of my own head. My anxiety over going out has been ruining my fishing and I need to get over it
Those three big bluegill were gorgeous. Love the coloration on them and thst notched head on the one to finish this episode. I went this morning and was hoping to catch a couple of those 4 inchers because I saw a bass in the weeds being an absolute menace to everything in the vicinity. Confidence was high if I could get a 4 inch gill to it, it would go for it. Things largely went poorly, couldn't set the hook even thouhh my hook was plenty small enough for the ones I targeted. Caught a shellcracker, bur not allowed to use that as a bait fish here. Caught 1 bluegill about inches. And when I was finally catching the little bait bluegill, they would somehow manage to flop out of my hand every time. I was getting frustrated, running low on worms, and bout ready to pack it in. But I decided to stay a few more minutes. Finally caught a 4 incher to put on my bait caster set up with an EWG hook, tossed it in the weeds where that bass was being a menace ans it absolutely DESTROYED it. Not my biggest bass, but he was a solid 2 lber, had some dark green going I was very, very pleased with my decision to persist and keep going. One of the hardest fighting bass I've caught, he was hooked in the bottom lip and then again in that tough corner around where the top and bottom lips meet. He was not going to pull a hawk tuah and spit that thing. He was VERY angry though. Took a video of the release and now that is my lock screen and a screen cap of him splashing the water is my home screen on my phone. Wound up being a good morning and glad I went before that noon and evening heat came in. Also caught a quarter pounder with cheese trying to get another good bluegill right before leaving.
Spent Monday pulling out tiny BG's also.... got lucky and hooked into a few decent smallies.. nice to see you back at it! Man, I wish we had gills like that.... that's tacos right there!!
Loved the "Sponsor worthy bass." ... It's been too hot for me over here in NC. Glad to see you out fishin'. Those Gills were pretty nice. ...Since it's so hot, I've just sanded, wood filled, sanded again, and then sealed my cork handles on all my ultra lite rods. When they fully dry in a couple of days, I guess I'm gonna have to brave the heat to give 'em a try. Last time I ventured out the heat index was 101 degrees. I'm feeling the "cabin fever" though, and seeing you catch some has rekindled my "itch." Enjoyed seeing you succeed on this outing! Thanks for sharing.
Looks like the bluegill are still on the beds by the color of them. They spawn every full moon, 5or6 times a summer. That's why they are a food supply for so many other fish.
Glad you got the Top Quality Lures. I got the same ones, but in Medium quality, and i was not impressed.. Awesome bluegill man, these are hard to find this time of year
These hot days have been rough!! Bass haven't wanted anything that I threw at em. So panfish has been my go to for now. Great bluegills and that bass was a very nice surprise!! Thank you Alex for always keeping it realistic ☺️
Hell yes! Love when these uploads hit at the perfect time. Those worms look awesome, gonna watch at work right now and see how they do for ya. Was hitting the ultralight myself this morning. Ended up landing a 4lb largemouth trying for Bluegill as well. Was glorious, and also anxiety inducing on such light line. Wouldn't have it any other way 😆 Edit: Definitely gonna look into trying those worms and the swimbait. Those where some beautiful gills!
@@RealisticFishing It was definitely a nice surprise. I seem to have pretty good luck running into good fish when I'm going ultralight for Bluegill. At least half of my best Bass have came off little Ned rigs, trout magnets, mini crankbaits or Gulp minnows (credit to you for turning me on to those). Maybe it's cuz I just fish the one pond and it's super pressured all the time, but the chonkers in there really like tiny baits
Your rig is my daily driver. I finally found a couple sleeping spawning catfish 2lb or less filled with eggs. The first one got off basically straightening my 1/8 oz jig head . The 2nd I landed but destroyed another jig head getting it off the hook.😂 I might challenge you to a smallest bluegill catch 😂. I caught one not much longer than a 1 inch gulp minnow.
The weather has been brutal here latelt. I'M sure thats not helping the fishing. Thanks for going out in the heat an making these videos for us to enjoy!
Bass fishing has been real slow in my neck of the woods so I've been throwing a 1" swimbait and letting the panfish entertain me. YEET!Keep it Realistic!

Urtra light fishing is sometimes what you have to get it done.
The bg-1 sticks them all
Almost all 😉
Appreciate your effort and all the different techniques you do!

Sounds realistic to me. Glad you are having fun out there 👍
@@RealisticFishing Absolutely. After not being able to even wet a hook all year last year due to injuries and illness, I am glad to be back out there.

Amazing for the price! 👍
Got some iFish stuff recently to try at my local pond. Can't wait to give it a go for crappie and sunfish.
Same I just got some IFush stuff today too! I’m excited to try it.
I got skunked! Glad to see you catch some gills! nice dark gill!
The heat is making it hard to catch bass!

Hey C&C 🤘

5 or 6 times on full moons for the summer?
@@RealisticFishingyes sir. Different depths according to water temp and feeding pressure.

I am really glad I got a few 👍
Some nice bluegill.
Really nice 8" bluegills Alex, even called the bass and got it, not 1/4lb w/ cheese, only the cheese 🙂 Thanks for sharing & KIR 🎣
KIR 👊
Hopefully the fishing will pickup around middle Tennessee l plan going this weekend to try my luck and to always keep it realistic

Nice bluegill and even the little nugget bass lol. You did find one lol.
No shame in the bluegill game, I love catching bluegill

Too hot to catch much of anything here… blast it. KIR y’all.
Ugh, these 95 degree days are too much
Take what you can get when it's HOT AS HELL 🔥 OUT THERE😊
Thats right!
"I wanted a bass and I got one.." That's how it goes for me man hahaha
Beast Bass!
I'm dealing with a small drought here where I live. River is getting very low
Yikes! Come on rain

Thats the way!
A bass is a bass.
Your worse day fishing beats my best, so far, :)
FIRST? KIR!

Since that tiny bass you caught wasn’t a quarter pounder, would it be considered more of a Happy Meal size? 😂
