Hey Jason I used to shine shoes at bars with my shine box but that's another story and what's with the twins cap behind you you a fan or from Minnesota? anyways I was watching shoe shiners in mexico using flames and or heated wax to shine shoes to get a great shine then there is this guy on you tube called the elegant oxford he mentioned using cold water droplets while using his shine cloth after wax so i had this crazy idea what if you did both you take a pair of shoes then heat it up in the oven or under a heat lamp this will open the pours of the leather then apply the wax but don't buff out yet then take that waxed shoe and chill it in the fridge to harden the wax a little then use a few layers of newspaper or magazine paper to shine the shoe like paper leaves no streaks on windows maybe it would work for chilled way a really shiny smooth surface once again just a crazy idea also you know when you get scuffed leather why don't you try a lint shaver on the shoe it kind of looks like a nrelco shaver maybe it would clean cut off scuffed leather and give it a smooth surface you can find lint shavers on amazon they don't cost very much.

Why do you use Saphir Renovateur on exotic leather instead of the Saphir Reptan?
The mink oil helps to protect it a bit more in my opinion. Good eye
