    I don't think it was a mistake for the Rams to rest their starters. If you are planning to get to and win the Super Bowl, you have to believe you can beat anyone that is placed in front of you. I think it is right to be more worried about having rested and healthy starters than to be worried about your match-up in the playoffs.

      As a Commanders fan that had to see that guy two times a year...I agree. He is like .700 all-time. You give that man a team and he gives you 10+ wins every year on average. And thats with all sorts of QBs, not just Mahommes. Bellicheater might have a lot of superbowls with Brady but without Brady, hes not even .500. I'd vote Reid as the GOAT, easily.

      The QB sometimes makes the coach go to the next another level though. Some recent examples are Bill Belichick without Brady, Sean Payton without Brees, even Andy Reid with out McNabb or Mahomes, and now Mike Tomlin without Rolthlesburger. @@austindolan7182 I agree - & I hate when someone says "Steelers fans expect Super Bowls every year" bc thats a bs strawman argument. It's the fact that he's 8-10 in the playoffs. 0-5 in his last 5 playoff games losing by a total of 58 points. Any other coach in NFL history with a 9 year span like that would have been canned years ago. Even Noll's 80's Steelers weren't this inept.
      Add the yearly strong starts that build hope in the city, then the yearly epic collapses due to factors called out fans/media that aren't Tomlin sycophants in the preseason: be it an unacceptable lack of OL talent, terrible coordinator hires like Matt Canada, knowing the QBs aren't good/playing the wrong QB, & a lack of weapons for this offense that borders on negligence - like this year.

    • @AnyonesBuisness

      @@Larry_Suave because most coaches struggle to make it to the playoffs. Most coaches don’t make it to the playoffs every year; with teams that are expected to be bottom of the barrel and find ways to win. Then make it to the playoffs and even have a chance to maybe win a Super Bowl. Only Bill, Andy and John do that.
      The only fault Mike Tomlin has is overachieving year in and year out. Most coaches don’t have a horrible playoff record to stand on because they don’t make the playoffs. Only Andy Reid before Mahomes.
      The problem is if Mike Tomlin ever had one bad year to get a top 5 draft pick that would be his head. The problem is he never put out a wack record. He always went at least gold.

    Rams got the best match up of the Wildcard for them (so it's the worst for the Vikings). There's a reason the Rams are the only other team to beat the Vikings this year besides the Lions. Ben Johnson and Jared Goff can handle MN's exotic blitzes, and so can McVay and Stafford. Love, Williams, Purdy, Stroud, Lawrence etc. can't handle them, these younger QBs get fooled, confused and overwhelmed, but older vets like Goff and especially Stafford don't get confused by those crazy Flores blitzes. Stafford is going to torch MN very sub par secondary.

They know the Bucs have a decent shot at going on the road in Philly and getting them out and then finally the Rams own Tampa Bay with all the connections with Baker and Coen and they just match up well. Theyll be rooting for Tampa to make it to the NFC championship game.

    • @TheBillykurtz
      @TheBillykurtz 20 годин тому +1

      Ok first, that is greatly underselling the talent that Pittsburgh has and has gotten recently. Second, if you do feel that way about the players, do you know who is the top person in charge of player evaluation. Mike Tomlin. Yes Ohmar Kahn finalizes the deals but mike Tomlin is the initiator. Also, his hiring of Offensive Coordinators has been mixed in the past 10 years.
      Pittsburgh has better players then anyone thinks. O-line is young and has promise, Freiermuth, Warren, Pickens(who usually is good on the field but want him traded away as soon as possible). missing the QB of the Future which if Tomlin had that I don't think there would be any of this talk about wanting to get rid of him. then on the defense of course you got Cam, TJ, Minka, Highsmith, Queen are studs but there's young promise on that side of the ball as well with Porter Jr., Benton, Herbig, Peyton Wilson, Bishop, Trice. What is really missing the QB of the Future which if Tomlin had that guy I don't think there would be any of this talk about wanting to get rid of him. The QB sometimes makes the coach go to the next another level. Some recent examples are Bill Belichick without Brady, Sean payton without Brees, Andy Ried with out McNabb or Mahomes, and now Mike Tomlin without Rolthlesburger.

      @Justin_Watson23 best qb the Steelers have had in half a decade? Mason Rudolph. Oline? Bottom ten in the league for at least three seasons. Running backs? A plodding player who runs like he's a scat-back and had no physicality or an RB who is loved by fantasy football players but can string together two good runs in a row? Wide Recievers? A bunch of players who are at least one level above where they should be. Pickens is a WR2, Austin is a WR3 at best, etc. Friarmuth? A completely replaceable player who could be swapped out for any of the middle 15 tight ends without anyone noticing.
      Defense? Corners? Decent guys who can handle good.players but get roasted by better ones. Safeties? Hey, Minkah one of the truly stand out players on the roster. Front 7? TJ and Hayward, the other good players.
      So, of a starting 22, 3 players who are great, 19 who are somewhere between average and bad.

That he'd have bad defenses playing well. lmao. He currently has the most expensive defense in the NFL & they're between 7th-11th in every major defensive stat but takeaways. I really underestimated how dumb NFL fans are compared to Steelers fans. They need more credit actually & I felt the opposite before reading these comments.

That Viks game was a statistical anomaly, and could have very easily been the opposite story if the lions didnt go 4-4 on 4th down on every td drive, and the viks only got 6 pts out of 6 redzone/fringezone drives… statistically, play the game the same way and lions lose. But.. games arent played on a stat sheet.
