I had the same EPB fault as yours, in the middle of the moutains while stoping by a trash to empty our camping trash... pulled the emergency cable and it unjammed, then drove back home without using the EPB while stoping for supply or gaz. What i' doing now I try to listen to my EPB when I use it, when its brand new calibrated it doesn't work/sound as long as when its worn out. Therefore, every now and then when you have your rear wheels off, try to reajust the screws, screw in until jammed, unscrew until lets say 70nm make the disk move and basically reajust your EPB brake shoes so that the EPB module motor doesn't have to wind itself to the end of the longitudinal gear and start grinding it off and jam.
Hey Florian and thank for sharing a great tip. I had one of my patreon supporters mention the same thing so I definitely going to follow your tips and tricks. I also plan to service the mechanism every spring after we are done with the salty roads of winter. A good spring shine will be in my standard rutine going forward. Spending a whole weekend pampering the car. 👍🙂
hi im haveing the sams issue as you ive replaced the rear break cables and the gears in the module. plus ive did the shoes break pads and break drums. its stilll says latching faul
I just had to pull the release cable and now it makes exactly the same noise. I had a new module and cables at the beginning of this year. Can't believe there is an issue again. I have a appointment on friday or monday for him to clean everything up, hopefully it is some dirt in there. How do I get it to relatch on its own? thanks!
Hey, see the other videos on this and you will see how I did it. 👍 It’s important to service your park brake mechanism and adjust the brake shoes. Once a year at least. 👍
Hi Trev, I’m sorry but I have never worked on the fuel system so I won’t be able to help you. 😕 I would check out the disco3 forum to see if there is something about it there. Simon
Hehe, live and learn. 😊 Glad I came out okay at the end. 😅 Hard to know this small thing that it won’t stop if you never heard it before, or read the LR-work-order. 😊
Hehae, I'm lways missing the Defender. It was something special. But glad to be working on the Discovery build now and that I only have one car to focus on. 👍🙂
Yeah, so lucky.. It's about 1000$ from the UK not including tax and freight. 1600$ if I were to buy it from the LR garage here in Norway. That's only the module.
How lucky was I... 😅😅 Live and learn.
You're getting there Simon. The excitement is mounting :-)
👍😊 Just a heads up video for others so they don’t do what I did. 😅😅

Well done Eric! Simon owes you a beer 🍻. Thanks to this vid Simon, many Disco owners should not make the same mistake. 👍🏻🙏🏽😷🦘
I think I owe Erik a lot of beers... 😅 If the video stops one or two people ruining their EPB-module then It was all worth it. 👍
Hi can you show images of the two fuel lines connect to on my land rover 3 discovery 2010 thanks Trev in cape town south africa

well persevered! which diagnostic tool do you prefer?
Hey Nick and thank you! 😊 I prefer the Gap Diagnostic IIDTOOL with BT. I think it’s the best option out there.
Lucky boy! :) :) :)
Lucky to have you as a friend. 😉
Less smart phone, more smart people... Maybe next time then!

Are you missing your Defender 110 yet? :)

One projectcar is enough to have, because it is a drama to go through a technical cotrole...
Hi do you haveca email address i can send you a pic of two pipes were not sure where they fit
Lucky lucky lucky 😅, how much is an EPB module? 😬😂

Wow, that's eye watering.
