I am so excited for you! Soak it all in, mama! All this hard work will pay off and you will have the upmost satisfaction knowing that you, hubby and your boys created your dream home that you can raise your boys in and do all the homesteading things in. You were talking about what American standards are on master en-suites but let me tell you, I believe, with the way our world is now, you WILL be living what many Americans dream of. We just sold our 3,000 sq ft home/homestead, so we could downsize, build our smaller dream home and have more property for our homestead. It’s all worth it. Can’t wait for the next video!!

We built our dream house out in the country. We have a 10’ Quartz Island and a 10’ Vintage beautiful wood Dining Table that I scored at estate sale for $350! As a family we usually eat at the Island and we also do homeschool at island or table. When we have guest over we sit at the table and the kids sit at the island. ❤
So happy for you! 🎉 fun to watch!

We do use our dining table still as well as our island. We use it for school and for when we have guests over. The kids can be at the island and adults at the table. Still in the same space, which we love. ❤ love watching your transformation!!

We use both the island and the table. The island is used more for breakfast, lunch, and science class. It's also nice to have the extra seating for birthday parties and family gatherings.

The sink by the window allows you to see outside, but at the Island you won't be able to see outside.....just a thought. I'm sure you already know 😊

We use the island and the dining table. With the sink in the island water splashes on the countertop so it’s not great for homeschooling.

I have an island in between the kitchen and dining room. We use the dining room table way more than the island.

We have an island 5ish ft. We have an 8ft dining table. We use the table daily and occasionally some will sit at the island.

We only have an island but I do badly wish we had a dining space with a table.

We are going through all this too. Went from living in a RV while sharing 2 acres to 31.4 acres with a 1973 house with 2 bedrooms, play room, secret entertainment room with full bathroom that is still fully decorated from when the home was built (yes, we are keeping everything except the carpet), 2 other full baths (one has the subfloor completely exposed), custom made wood burning fireplace with petrified wood, crystals, and river rocks, a library, screened in porch, barns that need repairs, outdoor full bathroom that needs fixed, three broken wells, and wood floors that we will sadly be covering with laminate planks due to the repairs needed. Oh, and we have only found one of the bathrooms is connected to the septic, everything else is running into the woods or fields. Oh, and they had massive trees planted in the 3 acre lake’s dam, so we will have to remove all of them and fix that due to it leaking. It needs lots of work and love after being abandoned for close to a decade, but it’s ours and we love it!

My husband actually had to completely replace our boys’s ceiling. They had cardboard and shopping bags used to repair a giant hole. It was a mess but he is almost ready to texture. We will do an easier orange peel texture everywhere to save time.
