i didnt know there were like a hundred guitar stems in the mix! i love it, thank you for bringing us through the stem pack, i love mariah's version of "o holy night"... so iconic!!!
I think this is one of her greatest songs besides "Fly like a bird" she just went so far, it is one of the songs where you can see everything what she is able to do with her voice. Thank you so much for this video 👏👏👏👏
I love her version of O Holy Night, it's definitely one of her best christmas songs. Thank you so much for going over it with such detail. Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas! 🎄 I love that you pointed out the talking. There’s 8-10 seconds on So Blessed from the Emotions album that it seems like laughing and talking during a major part. I’d love if you did this song. It’s a little before and after the 3 minute mark, but not on all released versions. I’ve heard some where it wasn’t there. Thank you for your awesome videos!
@@DrBRockstar2000👍🏼 I love To Be Around You, but that talking outro is intentional. I don’t think the laugh on So Blessed is though. I’ve never known what was happening on that part, but it always was weird.
@@DrBRockstar2000it isn’t on every version, but it’s on the one on Apple Music. Maybe you can figure it out because I can’t. Maybe it was intentional too, but i don’t know…it seems odd to me. It starts when she says “Stay With Me” around the 3 minute time.
Good video, but I’ll add that sometimes what yourself and other audio engineers may perceive as something that’s “overlap” or “two-takes” is not the case, and that’s me being gentle here lol. Vocal cords function differently than man made instruments and different factors cause different effects, I would say that whistle had rasp to it, but “two takes” naur. Great video though!
Sometimes these comments irk me. You are not her ENT and even if you were diplophonia is not a word, nor is it a diagnosis associated with the vocal cords. But I’ll say this and rephrase what you’re saying, her notes can have a polyphonic effect, due to rasp (introducing an element of an added vocal effect, albeit unintentional), I’ll give you that but I would agree that it isn’t two takes, singing that high and with the vocal cords not adducting as they would normally and with the amount of air being pushed through (which is what produces the sound) combined with other factors (whether that be rasp or thin edge muscles inadvertently causing distortion) makes it seem like she’s singing more than one note as a time on the same melodic line but that doesn’t appear to be the case here or in most of her songs (unless there is intentional harmony).
@@myusernamewastaken_ The channel owner didn’t prove that she put together two takes. He seemed to think that was the case. He isn’t her audio engineer. I have been a lamb since 1990; it doesn’t matter if you’ve been a lamb since 1995 - it’s irrelevant. You aren’t her vocal engineer either.
this is her best xmas cover!!

Thanks for taking the time to disect all of her work here. It is amazing how much work goes into the song. Happy new year!

Merry Christmas to you as well @@luffegun
I'm ready for her to take me to church 😂😂😂
haha save me a seat!
This is damn near as iconic as All I Want for Christmas Is You
God i love her lower register
Love this, another dope video. I'm hoping one day a bunch of Boyz II Men, EnVogue, Danity Kane, Day 26, 112 & Cheetah Girls stems fall into your lap.
i did not think i would sit here listening to the whole thing but here we are... great job
If I’m not mistaken this is an alternative vocal version you listened to which I love even more!!
Merry Christmas! Appreciate all that you do for the lambs (and everyone else too of course)!
All those bgv are Melanie Daniels MC knows a versatile voice enough to use Melanie cuz that woman’s range is crazy!!!!

It's actually To Be Around You, but you got the right album DAHHHLING

@@tenisplayerone it seems like the laughing/talking isn't present on the CD that I have, I just listened with headphones and couldn't hear it tbh
this is gonna be good!
It's meant to stand the test of time. In 300 years, we'll be listening to it like we do now with Mozart and the greats.
I love your videos!
36:07 you put it together beautifully damn I completely agree.
Merry Christmas! Please also do a video on Mariah’s God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen ☺️
Amaziiing 🎉❤
Would love your take on La Tortura by Shakira and how all the different sounds and instruments came together so well

What is your opinion based on? He is a whole audio engineer.
No she actually did the whistle in one take. Great video tho.
You can hear the cuts lol. She can, and she has, but as fans lying about how the song was produced is not going to help her image
If there is multitracks for Harry styles golden I would love to see you review them
❤❤❤
Please can you do next Oh come all ye Faithful feat Patricia carey 😢😢😢😢
I wish you make a video of We're not making love anymore by Michael Bolton and Pattie Labelle
Where did he go? He hasn’t uploaded in 9 months
31:00 ONE NOTE ONE NOTE 😂😂😂😂
Can you do Get on the Floor Burn This Disco Out by Michael Jackson please
Can u do Doja cat songs please💖
Mariah’s voice has diplophonia. She can do polyphonic whistles. They didn’t combine two takes. ☺️

Play nice guys we are here on Christmas to appreciate Mariah’s talents and music. Thank you both for your passion and for watching.
@@luffegun Merry Christmas!
Thanks so much @asnallar all the best!
Do you have any Celine multitracks
I’ve never heard that Cee Lo Green did did background for Mariah. Not sure that happened. 😂
That never happened
Bliss?
merry christmas but i could not follow it … is one of these things “analysis for the analysis” , the meaning of the song is lost
