Yeah I grew up mostly in Florida and it was decorated pale trees and boat parades with parties by the water with open balconies and fresh citrus right off the trees. Christmas is different in so many places and so many ways. I love that this is in this tee.

When I moved into my first apartment, I cried the entire first two nights, just because it was a new and unfamiliar place. I have since left that apartment and all I remember about it is how safe and happy I was there. It takes time to feel comfortable in a new place but once you make it your own, you will feel so much better.

i can guarantee you that i will react the same way when i finish college in the spring. the memories, good times, firsts, and even all of the tough times (which we always find a way to get through) seem tied to that location and just the thought of not being able to be at the place where all of those happened will be so difficult. it’s hard to embrace change. especially when you’ve spent so long with that one steady thing. even when everything was at its worst, that one thing was always there and you knew you could go back to it no matter what. you’re doing incredibly colleen, and trust me when i say you’re not alone in those feelings 💕

I just moved across the country from the place I grew up. All my friends and family are back their but I moved to be with my husband and his family. It had been the hardest 3 months of my life and I doubt my decision everyday, BUT I’ve learned to be ok in the uncomfortable and uncertainty. Know that you’re not alone, you are love and that, in time, everything will be ok❤

Collen talked about theatre and young kids expressing their feelings though theatre and I did my schools play 2 weeks ago and it made my day to know that people acknowledged the shows. I feel very fool for being surprised, but I cant believe you can pay for people to go into your stuff and pack it for you 🤯 This might be a third world latin people thing, but we definitely have to pack everything ourselves and even carry it to the moving truck, they will literally only help with really heavy stuff. OKAY SO I was exactly the same when I left my apartment (what i considered my dream home) to move into the house we currently own. I was a crying MESS for months leading up and the first few months here. Every day it slowly got better and better... I started adding little things that maybe weren't necessarily cool or trendy but made it cozy or made us smile. About a year later I really love coming home here and have created so many beautiful memories... I'm literally crying again typing this lol but happy, grateful tears. Thank you for always being so incredible. Thank you for being transparent and showing that big life changes are hard and that it is OKAY to cry it out. One of the hardest parts of moving on to something new is leaving the place were so many amazing memories and firsts were made. Collen talked about theatre and young kids expressing their feelings though theatre and I did my schools play 2 weeks ago and it made my day to know that people acknowledged the shows. Also I also moved over seas from a place I grew up in and it was really hard leaving, and I can relate to Colleen alot.

I feel very fool for being surprised, but I cant believe you can pay for people to go into your stuff and pack it for you 🤯 This might be a third world latin people thing, but we definitely have to pack everything ourselves and even carry it to the moving truck, they will literally only help with really heavy stuff. So seeing that people packing everything gave sm anxiety 😅

OKAY SO I was exactly the same when I left my apartment (what i considered my dream home) to move into the house we currently own. I was a crying MESS for months leading up and the first few months here. Every day it slowly got better and better... I started adding little things that maybe weren't necessarily cool or trendy but made it cozy or made us smile. About a year later I really love coming home here and have created so many beautiful memories... I'm literally crying again typing this lol but happy, grateful tears. Thank you for always being so incredible. Thank you for being transparent and showing that big life changes are hard and that it is OKAY to cry it out. Sending you all the love for your fam in this new home.
Have you ever thought about putting Flynn in dance classes??? I have been dancing for 11 years and he seems like he would be great at dancing and he also looks like he enjoys in very much! 4:59 I have to comment this because I can hear my favorite bird squawking in the background: California Scrub Jays! Here are some facts for any bird nerds like me:
• They're part of the corvid family, so similar to crows and ravens.
• They're quite a noisy bird with a harsh squawking call, but can also mimic the sound of a red-tailed hawk.
• They have a beautiful blue back and tail, with gray and white underneath and a signature white eyebrow.
• They have communal funerals; they call other scrub jays over when one dies and screech for up to half an hour.
• They love to eat shelled peanuts, often gathering them one at a time and caching them. (If you want to feed them make sure to buy unsalted peanuts in the shell).
• They regularly hide their food in the ground and mark their caches with leaves or twigs, sometimes picking spots where the food will blend in with the terrain. One study found they preferentially hid their food in a matching color terrain when another scrub jay (a potential pilferer) could be heard, but not seen. However, the scrub jays mostly cached in randomly colored terrain when the pilferer could be heard AND seen. (Perhaps if they know another bird is watching them, then it's of no use caching.) I can relate to the emotions so much. My husband moved 2 hours away from home back in 2013 and I was sad for what felt like FOREVER. But here I am, loving my city and I'm happy to just visit home now. You'll get there, but your feelings are valid and I totally get it.
