This song was originally recorded by Sam and Dave. You should check out their version. The B side of the single had the song "Wrap it Up", which was later covered by the Fabulous Thunderbird's. You should give that song a listen also. The duo Sam and Dave have a lot of great songs you would like, that was covered later on by a variety of artists.
As for ZZ Top, they are one of my favorite bands. If you want to check out an old deep cut by them, "Hot, Blue and Righteous" is a goodie. Someone else mentioned"Fool For Your Stockings". That's a good one also. You really can't go wrong with any ZZ Top song.

"Fool For Your Stockings" off the same album is sublime blues.
Had the good fortune to see ZZ Top in 1977 on their "Taking Texas To The World" tour, with the New York "punk" band The Dictators as openers. An unusual pairing, but the crowd was a ZZ crowd and we all dug it big time. Saw them twice on the "Eliminator" tour a few years later, and everything was even better than before. A great live experience, ask anyone who has seen them.
I've seen them 4 times. Always a huge party. Of all the groups I've seen in nearly 300 shows ZZ Top is the most fun.

All the tunes from That Little Ol; Band From Texas are uniquely their own style and sound. I was lucky enough to see them 4 times over 5 decades. As Billy says ... "Same three guys, same three cords for five decades". I recorded them in 2018 and have a few songs on my place. You really need to see them LIVE.
