Whether prepared acid ninhydrin can be stored in amber coour bottle for long days ?? Please let me know sir
Ninhydrin reagent is usually prepared afresh. But storing at 2-8degree C, may prolong its shelf life a little bit. 1month tops.
Could you do me the favor of giving me the link of the quantitative technique of measurement of amino acids with the nihydrin technique

why you are using ethanol why dont use another solvents like methanol
If we dissolve ninhydrin in 100% ethanol, ethanol will evaporate. right?
Yes any alcohol based solution will show some level of evaporation, depending on the concentration of alcohol. That can be easily controlled by storing it in bottle with tight fitting cap, and preferably at low temperature.
for how many days this reagent can be stored?
Sorry for extremely late reply. Ninhydrin reagent is usually preparred fresh just before use for maximum potency. But you can store it for upto a year at 4degree C.
