So wild watching these episode again after so long. I remember when they were new and my dad and I would make a whole event of watching them together. Snacks, me with a cola, dad with a beer, mom shouting to turn it down. God those were good time. Dad's been gone 5 years this month and this show brings back the good memories.
It's nice you & Dad bonded watching the most violent, ignorant cops on the planet the shill show highlighted. Recruiting plummeted across the nation with that propaganda. Anybody aware of the Bill of Rights was appalled at the idiots displayed who claimed to be the law itself because they are completely ignorant of it. Bunnell is a good reason why anybody with an ounce of honor doesn't want to sign up to work with someone you are supposed to back up and even cover for breaking the law instead of busting them for worse crimes committed against the victim they are busting than what they are accusing the citizen of they are ganging up on.
The old-school Cops intro brings back memories very similar. It always seems to be the dad that would let you sneak back downstairs past bedtime and watch overly-dramatic cop chases together.
Not only do i love seeing all the old cars from the 90s, early 2000s, but the fact that guy walked out holding a telephone half the size of the motorbike he was riding just cracked me up. I miss the 90s so bad. Also the fact i am now saying cars from the 90s are old instead of 70s,80s etc just reminds me how ancient i am becoming.
Wait, you mean to tell me they don't have on vehicle microphones , and that I am not hearing the tire squealing, the gun shots, the carnage of the wrecks some of these videos have? It's all fake?! What else are they keeping from us? What else is a lie?
Back in the day I had a hard time figuring out whether or not the sounds were real, back then we didn't have 4k drone footage and constant 'behind the scenes' media, so you figured it was pheasable that you could hear the tires squealing from that far away with nothing in the way, granted the cameras made it look like it was closer anyways...
Too bad he didn't decide to make super-bank on driving armored cars in South Africa! I think that was where Mr. "They're gonna shoot, be ready to duck" Super-Keeps-It-Cool's video came from? THAT dude was amazing. o.o This guy was pretty skilled...but using that skill for the wrong end, sadly! He did have some skill, though, I grant that...and he even didn't run wild using the sidewalks or anything too stupid!
Doug Click was the guy with the baseball bat that took down the dangerous psycho in the stolen Dump Truck after the crash. But for these Dangerous chases, only four of these chases were the super most dangerous. The Phoenix Dump Truck chase, The Atlanta pursuit, the Los Angeles Gangster pursuit, and the paraplegic chase.
That "LA Gangster" pursuit had me thinking he wasn't going to survive it...when he was looking for the air unit, he didn't show any sign of a seat belt being on. He was lucky in several manners. 😕 If he'd crashed and had only the lap belt on, at least he *might* have lived, but without one he would almost surely have to win the lottery to be able to survive a high-speed ejection.
They still can. There are tons of cops that arent overweight. There's just a lot more fat cops than there was so it seems like there's mostly fat but there isn't
Deserved to rot in prison for that. Im a Jag man i daily drive a classic Jaguar MKX 420G. The same model each of the Kray Twins owned. Hurting a Jag is unforgivable.
What's the point of getting a stolen car back if it is totaled, there's lots of property damage, and many lives have been risked chasing it down? I'm not soft on car thieves, but I wonder if society itself is safer without these chases. Chase robbers, murderers, and drunks, but the car thief is more of a danger to others while in a panic of risky speeding trying to get away.
The crazy part is these videos removes the guy with the bat, taking care of the criminal and real justice being done instead of the law slapping his hands and telling him, now don't do that again ok. 🤨
I knew these were terrible when they originally aired, but it's great to remember exactly how bad they were. Larry Welk's constant overdramatic commentary from the helicopter is the topper.
It really should be the suspect paying for the damages, since they're the ones who are at fault in the first place. But honestly, the insurance company is the one who gets the call. Can you imagine if you DIDN'T have insurance? You're fucked.
I've been hooked on these videos for the past 2 nights. I'm a 90's kid so I love Cops and these shows, but these classic shows bring some nice 'Member berries and alot of this is intense stuff. 7:44 Some of those Southern California ones from the late 90's and in the early 2000's, I remember seeing them Live when I came home from school. I was just a Wee Lad when that guy hijacked that tank, but I remember how EVERY KID in school was so pumped about it.
As people who didn't live in the USA, what a dangerous car that speeds it up and the police cars are coming behind the car. (Yet motorbike speeds it up as well.)
Fake commentary be like: That guy is running from the police in a stolen vehicle, and he is using his hands and feet to control the vehicle!! SUCH MADNESS!!😮😮
At 38:23 there are 15 police cars on scene.... can somebody tell them that in itself probably constitutes ás big a danger as the fleeing guy in the truck. How does their superior officer allow that?!!!
If they gave the driver five years mandatory jail time. I believe we wouldn’t see as many police chases. You make it mandatory just for the chase. Not to mention the other charges. Or the Other crime. Which goes on top of the five years. No plea. No nothing. Mandatory five years. I believe that would immediately make a lot of these clowns rethink what’s going on in their lives.
I REALLY don't understand why people flee...because you'll never get away, especially with traffic cams and random CCTV cams everywhere. You'll get caught eventually.

I do rather see new cars like suvs being in police chases because i want those new cars abused not the old cars need to keep them alive
The man, the myth, the legend! Retired Sheriff John Bunnell!
This video doesn't show up on my subscriptions page lol
You forgot; the scariest teeth on tv!
@@tobbex7372 If teeth could kill... those are the teeth that'd do it!
He also appeared in two family guy episodes from season 8.
We don't give enough credit to the police for all of the hard work they do. Thank you!!!
I love when they add in the sound effects from the chopper video as if they would be heard from 1000 feet in the air.
Wait, you mean to tell me they don't have on vehicle microphones , and that I am not hearing the tire squealing, the gun shots, the carnage of the wrecks some of these videos have? It's all fake?! What else are they keeping from us? What else is a lie?
Of course it’s fake. I knew that since watching it for the first time in 2011. They likely added them to give it some effect.
Did ya notice that the "news guy" in the helicopter has the exact same voice every time?
Back in the day I had a hard time figuring out whether or not the sounds were real, back then we didn't have 4k drone footage and constant 'behind the scenes' media, so you figured it was pheasable that you could hear the tires squealing from that far away with nothing in the way, granted the cameras made it look like it was closer anyways...
Thanks for the upload!
classic john bunnell, this must’ve been aired right around or after the 4th season
This aired in 2002.
My man , Sheriff John Bunnell!
@@pauljr.harrington1905I love myself some Sheriff John Bunnell.

What channel did it air on?
I don’t remember seeing it on FOX
Not even a commercial preview
I miss these shows.
Gotta give props to the driver who avoided the police for a long time with he's maneuvers that even went to the airport and back.

I like the Atlanta, Georgia one.
I’m from Winnfield, LA and I haven’t seen anything like that before.
Only reason he was stopped he ran out of gas.
gosh i use to watch this show all the time back in the day and still my favorite
No one can narrate this show better than Johnnie B.

Same with the motorcycle Pursuit
@@SuperSailorOutlawGeorgeIshaq The cyclist was total showoff. But like John Bunnell said, it won't impress the Judge.
The choice of thumbnail for this one is priceless hahaha wonder what John is up to these days
John is alive ,i googled
But what’s he doing now??
Yeah I checked not long after, I figured he was alive, but wasn’t 100% certain. I wanna say he’s pushing 80 now. Hope he’s doing well.
I just feel so reassured when I hear John Bunnell's voice
Hi from Sweden ,love this
Everything about this show i love it ❤️💙
Like!!!
I Loved how the speed demon motorcyclists over inflated ego & pride was what got him arrested! 😂
That dump truck isn’t 80,000lbs by the way lol. I drive big rigs that or so why he’s saying a dump truck weighing that much is quite ridiculous.
As a fellow trucker too I can say maybe 40k load but empty i can see about 10k
Knowing how over the top the narrations are, he likely said that as a joke.
these videos take place mostly between the 70s and 90s so older trucks could've been made with heavier material than they are now.
26:37 This is back when the cops didn't weigh 400 pounds and could actually RUN and JUMP/CLIMB. Those were the days.
They still can. There are tons of cops that arent overweight. There's just a lot more fat cops than there was so it seems like there's mostly fat but there isn't
Did anyone else come here because the thumbnail looked like John Bunnell was squeezing out a fart in the cop car? I sure did.
Haha yeah
He's trying too hard if it's a fart. I wouldn't trust it.
I can't unsee that now
@it4hoomanz oh, it hurts but sometimes you do get just a fart. Had plenty.
@@it4hoomanz1
On first episode, ground viewing much preferred instead of overhead air viewing. Perfect narrator as usual though.
That was one hell of a chase
Interesting how you can actually hear the tires squeal, and sirens, and crash sounds FROM THE HELICOPTER.🧐
They're sound effects... Sorry to burst your bubble
Yo dummy, they do that for dramatic effect for tv.
As reckless and stupid as that guy was, I gotta give him some credit for being able to pull all that off despite not being able to move his legs.
Joe has nothing on this guy.
Pushing his decretive vehicle!! 😂😂
21:21 that was painful to hit that Jaguar.

This was back when people were actually charged for fleeing

So handy that the helicopter guy was on duty on all of those chases. And that he just seems to comment on everything almost like...narration! 😂
I still get a kick out of that guy landing on his ass as he jumped out of the car in that Caldwell, Idaho chase. Those guys were f****** idiots!
The crazy part is these videos removes the guy with the bat, taking care of the criminal and real justice being done instead of the law slapping his hands and telling him, now don't do that again ok. 🤨

John Bunnell still with us??? He's been retired at least 30 years.
He's probably in his mid to late 70s
As of this post, John Bunnell is still alive at 79 years old .
😁👍
Still strong at 79 as of this post and today being Thanksgiving... quite thankful for these videos 😍
I have great pride in Bunnell!!!!!
@@jeffking4176Oh wow! 😯
When a cop does a failed PIT and hits an innocent bystander car... who pays for the damage?
Usually your insurance, which is sad really.
We do....higher insurance rates, local & state tax increases....WE do..... it's the FASCISTS way ...... IMO.....no hate plz....

Used to watch john burnell when i was a wee lad 😂
People are crazy for speed and aggression. I’d say to these people “stop it get some help”
How is it 5:30 in the afternoon on the chase at15 mins when it is completely dark and all the street lights are on
Probably because it’s in the month of December when the days are shorter.

"Los Angeles, California"

John Bonnell is standing in front of the Van Nuys Police department
The sport biker went stuntman gta for the news.
I wonder when the Atlanta chase took place, i live near Atlanta

So who’s gonna pay for those innocent civilians that damage their property and vehicles?
90% of these clips happened either before i was even born or during my first 2 years of life (born 1998) so i feel mega old
14:46 Never do a P.I.T Maneuver where there's cars. If I was in that red car, you better believe I'd go after the guy for hitting me.
It's a 20,000 pound truck.
John has a real tendency to exaggerate on truch wieghts that dump trick empty is way less than 80000 lbs
Why would one make a roadblock that leaves enough room to allow a car through? Kinda defeats the purpose.
What happened to the show
I'd gladly watch these videos in their enterity, but I really give up after a few minutes: I cannot stand the wailing of police cars.
ahh... the illustrious sheriff who was in office for 2 months.
Why do folks not stop when they hear those sirens🙃
Not going to lie, the Atl guy drove smart but was stupid to not get away when he could- twice!!!
If that dump truck weighs 80k pounds lol more like maybe 18k.
Dump trucks is not 80k pounds😅😅 thats a semi thats 80k. Ive been trucking for years and yeah i know 😊
Take away the repeated footage, this is about 12mins long 🙄
And people are wounded or killed by crooked cops who don't know the law don't forget that
If they gave the driver five years mandatory jail time. I believe we wouldn’t see as many police chases. You make it mandatory just for the chase. Not to mention the other charges.
