Before the framing of cosnstution of 1973 the issue wa don't between Islamic amd secular rather it was an ethnic issue......distribution of power amongst people who spike different languages despite following one amd same religion.Once the majority Bengali Muslim part of Pakistan was gone then majority Muslim part of Punjab very shrewdly preserved its hegemony through the constutional arrangement of 1973 and reinforced its(Punjab's) instutional( army+ bureaucracy) hegemony......

It was good to hear you say our young population is our strength and they should stay here for the change. You very frankly covered a range of sometimes taboo subjects. We all agree we need our strong army with it's most courageous soldiers. But you did not touch upon the military establishments octopus like tentacles on so much else of Pakistan - real estate, industry, agriculture and policy. I fear them giving this up will lead to another breakup of our beloved Pakistan.
