Hi Amy. I love the free-from style of this. That 'dot' thing you weren't sure what it was called is one of two things. It's either punchinella - scrap from when they make sequins - or a strip of drywall tape. I love how you focus on a couple of design elements, like that dot stamp, to bring cohesion to the entire book. I'm so excited to see the new studio come together. Creative Blessings!
I can’t believe Jack is 10 already! It didn’t seem that long ago when he was so little. Is that a Muji notebook? Muji notebooks are great for a blank canvas. Your videos are such a joy to listen to, Amy! It really helped with the anxiety that I was feeling today. It felt good to just let go, and art along with you. And I do feel you about starting a new notebook or page for the month. Everything is perfect new, but it is important to remind ourselves that consumer products like stationary and art supplies are meant to be used, not hoarded.
I agree that September always feels like a fresh start, probably dating back to school days, with a new notebook, new teacher, new back to school clothes. I love the casual feel to this journal.

Not sure you need this robust of a printer, but we love it - amzn.to/45cKLZ1 The quality is amazing and we find that the ink doesn't go down as quickly as many of the other printers we have had. The photo paper and quality is AMAZING.

Matte medium could work too, I think? A little gesso can go a really long way, so I like to have it on hand.
