It's such a great idea by RODE. Offering all these colors combined with the great sound and affordable price is a slam dunk. Thank you for the comment.
I forgot to try that. I'll definitely have to do that. Don't you wish RODE would let the community exchange settings almost like a videogame mod? It would be cool if we could swap settings for off-brand mics, etc... I would love that ability.
I hate the heavy shockmount with weird pop filter attachment on the front. Love the microphone though. I got a really nice little compression shock mount to put mine in for like six bucks or 12 bucks or something, I like it so much better
@@FreePodcastTools I got it from Amazon, bossen makes it, I think it was designed for the original NT1 which had a slightly larger diameter on the body but my NT1 fits on it just fine but if you plan to hang it upside down make sure you shove it in there at least halfway cuz on the end it's a little loose but as you push it down more it fits really nice. Or maybe they have one specifically for the 5th generation or the signature series by now but I'm actually got a couple of shock mounts from that company and they're really good and actually I think it does a better job than the one it came with it absorbing unwanted sounds.
your welcome i keep meaning to make a video about that shock mount, i should do that soon, the stock one is super heavy and huge lol @@FreePodcastTools
@@dannylightning-audio-reviews You aren't kidding about the weight and size of the stock shock mount. LOL! I believe I found the one you were talking about. I also think I own one from a microphone I have. Thanks again.
You will get a better result if you are in even a moderately treated space, but completely untreated I notice a decent amount of reverb. It wouldn't be my first choice in an untreated space. The SM57 is legendary. It would depend on use case and preference. In my opinion in a treated space on vocals I prefer the NT1 Signature Series. But if you want to mic a cab, or perform live, the SM57 all the way. The off-axis rejection on the SM57 is stellar.
Thank you for your advice, I bought the nt1 signature today (gonna test it in 2 weeks) because I liked it more than the cm7 acoustically and vocally, the only problem is to make the room better by getting rid of reverb - fortunately, even with the at2020 there is little noise that i can't even hear with ssl 2 in my room, so far it is difficult to find the best way out of this - I found that carpet, curtains, blankets are the best and affordable option I was also thinking about the acoustic screen but I think it's worth it, I don't do podcasts and record vocals and guitars.@@FreePodcastTools
@@Nofamilly I hope you can get the room issues resolved because the Signature Series is a great mic! You're on the right track with the stuff you mentioned. That'll reduce those issues.

Using the preset on RCP 2 is just awesome

Where did you grab that from? Thanks for the comment. I LOVE the microphone and the various colors they are releasing it in.

Is it good in untreated room? And is it better than sm57? 🙏🙏🙏

for untreated space 100% get the sm57 over this mic. any condenser mic of this grade will echo so much in an untreated room
its fine, I bought acoustic panels, prepared blankets and bought specialized curtains@@floor.mp3 also i bought sm7b and nt1, i decided to take both
I prefer the 5th Gen better
Having the versatility of USB included is a definite win.
