You can use this for vocabulary a little easier this way. First, divide your class into two teams. Then name the corners vocabulary words (for younger students I like to put vocab cards at each corner quickly before each round, but my ESL classrooms haven't been very big). Then I explain that the first full team to be sitting down is the winning team. Then I say a sentence like, "When I'm cold I put this on..." The vocab word would be coat, or something like that. I count down, I open my eyes. Students in the "Coat" corner get to sit down. Of course we say the sentence and the word together as a class. Then we evaluate how many students of each team are still "in" and keep playing until one entire team is sitting. That way the sitting students are rewarded for getting the right one. This works best with 10+ students though, so not always easiest for small classes. But I'm sure there'd be a way to adapt.
No, that student is out. At least that's how I play it. If you want you can play it that way, but then it will be a very short game as students will get out quickly.
No it’s get in a room with four corners turn of all the lights get 4 people in the room u need to choose the leader the leader stands in the middle of the room the three people stand to there corners the leader counts everyone moves to one corner sometimes u will lose a person u need to tell everyone in a non speech signal like tap sometime there will be 1 xtra person it’s a spirit or a ghost say ur name backwards and move when the leader tells u to and idk how to end it
To play, you would name 4 corners of your classroom. In the example in the video, the corner names are a b c d, but you can name them anything. For example, if you're teaching colors, you can name corners blue, red, etc. Then choose one corner and write it down, but don't show students. Then give students 5 seconds to move to one of the corners. Then reveal which corner you wrote down. Any students standing in that corner are out, and must sit down. Then play again. Keep playing like this until there's only one student remaining. That student is the winner. Hope that helps.
Its haunted bc theres a ghost or demon. Step one get four people to play and then they have to face to each corners when they choose a leader they have to count to three but dont forget to turn the light of when they count to three the ghost or demon appear ur house its haunted
That's right! What I usually do is when it gets down to 4 students, then they must each be in a different corner. - that way, you always get one winner.
You can play that way if you want, but that would mean 3 corners are out and not just one (i.e. most of the students) so it would be a very short game. Anyway, thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching.
Yeah, okay, sounds fun for 4-6 years old... but... where's the ESL part? There's gotta be a hint of studying to make it worth playing. Otherwise any game that isn't related to language will also do.
It is not intended to be a whole lesson. This video is simply the instructions on how to play the game. The teacher should decide the learning objective and then adapt the game accordingly. For example, with very beginners studying phonics the teacher could label the four corners of the room with different words / phonics sounds. Then after students have moved to one of the corner the teacher can call out that phonics sound (if focusing on listening) or could ask the students to say the phonics sound / word (if practicing pronouncing phonics sounds). There are literally thousands of ways to use this game and incorporate learning. It all depends on what the teacher is teaching, the students level, etc, and this is up to the teacher to decide. This video is simply a blank template to explain the rules and to provide an activity idea for teachers to think about.
you have to be creative and choose different words, phrases, and sentences according to the level of language (or ANY other topic that you are teaching) It's going to be very simple but the idea is that this is a great and easy way to add some variety to our boring classic routines.

why student at the C corner getting upset? The right answer is C corner, so that student who stand on C corner it's suppose to be happy. Am I right?

We played this in our classroom
When I was a kid I came up with the strategy of going to one corner, stomping and talking loudly, and then going to another.
Would it be okay if they also say the word when they will be out?
Yeah. You can play this game in many different ways.
amazing idea
Thanks. :)
Wow nice. ...🎉
I couldnt understand how to use this game. What does corner C mean in this game?

Pov you should play this in think together or during school hours
I played this before when i was six😢
And if they ALL want to go to the same corner and will be all OUT at once?)))
That's right! What I usually do is when it gets down to 4 students, then they must each be in a different corner. - that way, you always get one winner.
damn, subscribed !
Why does the kid with the right answer have to sit? I thought it was the opposite.

Gracias amigo.
i thought you say about a horror game
