How do you upgrade the matter manipulator? I’m using this mod and I’ve tried googling but all the answers seem to pertain to vanilla or otherwise be outdated. I have like 10+ upgrade modules for it now and idk how to use them.
I guess it depends on what you’re looking for? I love the complexity and that I spend 15 minutes trying to figure out how to make something sometimes. But I also love Dwarf Fortress and games like it. You can 100% play vanilla Starbound and enjoy this game- this mod just takes that game and layers in some very unique systems and I like it a lot.
you go into a cave with the lil guy in it search the boxes and grab 20 core fragments place them into a old pedestal lookin thang complete the first main quest you're given if you cant find the 20 core fragments in the cave, you unfortunately must go mining until you can get core fragments from like the bottom of the earth [ik, it drove me insane too] if this STILL doesn't work for you, look for a video harder ig
Clear introduction mission. Beat the first boss to fix the ship. Build the EPP so you can go to moon and mining the fuels for ship. You can navigate ship by interact the captain chair on your ship.
The ball tech is located at the outpost, in a series of quests from the ape scientist there. You will need 10 or 20 (can't remember) bronze, silver, and gold bars to get all 3 techs. One of these is the ball
@@kerohseen5308 In the base game it is, in FU it's in the caves. You have to blow the door open and then go through the reverse tunnel before the lakes and shit
I genuinely hate how this mod relies so heavily on external resources. Like Starbound is borderline unplayable without mods, but when mods make it so you have to have a wiki open at all times, I cannot stand them... Also like being honest I hate the first like 10 missions of Frackin because the cringe ass space slug that gives you missions just irrationally pisses me off.
I spent hours diving into this mod yesterday... I had no clue that a right click with the tricorder brought up the quest dialog 🤦♂ Thanks!

better late than never but you can upgrade it either the vanilla way or thru the tricorder under the upgrade tab i think
There’s a little button on the side of the screen
Same way as vanilla
You go into the quickbar (three horizontal lines on the right sidebar) and go into "matter manipulator"
I had an issue where Vinalisj (the big white creature) and the outpost weren't spawning at all on my starter world. Big help. Thanks!

my issue with this game is how badly it's optimized, at least for windows
how do you get to other planets in regular starbound? I've been looking for a guide that will help me for so long, what they do just doesn't work

Tbh if you're using a mod like this you should be starting it on a new character every time so there's nothing to break
