Macro focus stack workflow: From shot to PS on iPad in the forest!

It's possible to do easy focus stacked macro images on the iPad using Lightroom and Photoshop and to prove it, I show how I take, import, edit and stack my images all while on location in the forest.
I use only two images for this focus stack and use layers and masks to blend in the different focus points. It's a manual approach and it means it would be very difficult to do 'true' focus stacked macro images of many layers. The iPad version of Lightroom and Photoshop currently lack the auto align and auto blend layer options so everything I show here is a rough manual version.
But it does work and for quick edits while you're travelling it can be a handy way to show off the shots you've taken that day.

Great video. Have you tried using Affinity Photo for the iPad at all? It has a few features like panorama stitching and focus stacking that aren’t available in Photoshop for iPad. I will admit that the interface isn’t quite as friendly though…
