This was an in-person event. It was really fun! They had a singles event and a 3v3 team event and it was really interested to see all the different decks. It had everything from Mastemon to alphamon, jesmon, silphy and actual meta stuff. Lots of imperial, mirage & magna in the top 32 cut, but they were eeked out by the decks presented here. The Brisbane players did so well, they should all be really proud of themselves. Amazing decks guys! Had some great matches!
Hi, 15th place imperial player here to share some insight on my list. First off, I loved the list it felt pretty much perfect the whole day and I definitely feel like my play is what held me back from potentially going further. The red blue exvee pretty much gives itself jamming on evolve with more flexibility and adding 2k as an inherit as well as another colour in the sources for the bt12 fighter mode’s all turns effect really improves your Magna matchup so you can just attack over their Magna x that’s been boosted even 2 times. Invincible dragon-insect fusion is also a great card. Being a blocker unable to be deleted in battle means that you can prevent Magna getting their swings into security and deny them the ability to restand and become unaffected again and also means that if your opponent wants to remove your stack they have to trigger partition to do it. The bt3 Davis also is still just incredible. 4 cost can be a bit steep but getting it out early or having it hit in security gives you a huge boost to consistency and pretty much guarantees you get to make it to paildramon every single turn. Sorry for waffling a bit, I’m pretty passionate about imperial and I’m proud I was able to go far with it in one of the first events of the format. If anyone wants to ask questions about my list I’m happy to answer
@@idonotmakevidsyet I didn’t but I feel like tyrant isn’t an instant lose matchup because Davis + Ken can strip the metallifekuwagamon in their sources and dragon mode can suspend and lock their Izzy to stop all their redirects and punish them if they try to play anything off tyrant’s effect. It definitely can still be difficult if they open well but you don’t need removal options in order to win into it imo
@@brycemiller831 I use paildramon to suspend everything and attack over their digimon. Davis+Ken trashes nume x from sources so you don’t have to worry about the floating. And resolving the bt12 fighter mode will pretty much always clear their whole board and make it really hard for them to come back. Nume always has the ability to get off the ground faster than you which is why I leaned a lot into consistency with the number of rookies and bt3 Davis, so that I can make it to pail as quick as possible
Numemon was gaining popularity in Japan at the end bt15 as an answer to apocalymon, it didn't pop up because of magna. It topped it's first event when apocalymon was still at 4
Literally I've seen no digimon youtubers say that the older one is better than the newer one. Just the value of unbricking your hand or searching for pieces is far stronger than 1 memory.
Oh i get that dont get me wrong, i understand they value they bring. I am more questioning is that value better then something else, and I am allowed to be wrong on this
Thanks for the reply :) There was an in person regional in Germany in April, not sure what else is missing, online ultimate cup from no heroes tcg from last weekend but I guess the in person one is more interesting
This format is going to be interesting and fun since a lot of decks are viable and it's super deck construction and player focused. Multiple Mirage because they out Magna, Tyrant getting his time in the sun, A completely new variant of Loogamon style.
@@jasonandrews1770 As a Mirage player, oh trust me I know. Oh that's cute all of that hard work and I'm just going to swing this lvl 5 at you and then swing 5 more times at you and you can't do anything feels so good.
You are unfortunately incorrect about Xu. She's ridiculous. She gives you the memory to hard play a rookie to get her own alliance, then the reboot with your big unprotected stack is crazy value. Also just being a mem tamer is hella value in this set.

Your list looks like an instant lose to tyrant. Did you face any tyrant players?

ive been wrong befor
Nume took 50% of the top 16 while taking 6 of 8 in top 8 in the web cam regional in the US.
#well get their when we get thier

/shrug i just have a different take then everyone then and hey maybe im wrong well see how the meta plays out
another thing about memory setters is that it plays around digimon emperor since he's crazy this format
Thats a solid point i had not thought of yet yet
No it doesn't. Memory setters are start of turn and breeding phase is after start of turn
@@idonotmakevidsyet i think op’s point was you at least insure you don’t pass turn with a seter
Old Davis- a memory setter that searches two cards is insane
Shuu is played because she's a reusable Zubagon Punch and also serves as a memory setter

will events of BT15 that happened still be covered on the site even tho there might ne no video about it?
Most of the events are already on the site i think we missed 1 or 2, feel free to let me know which one you really want

Mirage doesnt even out magna it just ignores it and wins. Lowkey toxic

Yea Hopfully some of the growing pains settle in and well see a diverse format every tournament once again

Yea i understand the value they bring, and its fine if im wrong definitely the topping lists prove that to me, just sharing where i am at mentally
Man, wasn't expecting that for 3rd place. When you said tech I thought like 1 or 2 cards that helps against the meta not two builds in one.
Are you talking about numemon? Yea my set sett up kinda trolled the ending thats on me
Great we agree Ukko needs to go
100% ukko is bad!
Willing to bet Armors would take over if that happened
Mirage need list
List good go see
GRRR UKKOMON BROKEN BAN‼️‼️‼️.
Reeeeeeeeeeee
I say dont hit Ukko yet.
Agreed
