Have had these for over a year and these are one of my favorite boots, took a little long to break in but now that they are they are super comfortable and great lookin boots
I bought these, only tried on the right and it was okay, went to put on the left at home and it was incredibly tight, I broke them in by hand massaging with oil and stretching around where I felt tight. I love them now
I actually like the look of these better than any other ariats ive seen. The grainy texture is a good look and like the bullhide heel counter. Also like its leather lined fully but the high toe bug is a real deal breaker
Respect Jeremiah... One of the previous viewers comment was , they like the look of the boot , the price is very good and fully leather lined which I totally agree with..This is why your channel is taking off , honest unbiased reviews ! Ariat imo do care and want this type of feedback good or bad to make a better product which at the end of the day benefits all of us boot wearers..
I really like this boot, it looks awesome, I would definitely get these if I was to get another Ariat, I have a low instep anyways and so that part wouldn’t bother me and I don’t mind breaking in a boot with stiff leather, it’s nice to see a boot from Ariat that is actually leather lined, and Goodyear welted along with having a leather stacked heal, those are all selling point for me, the rest of the stuff I can live with!!
This is 2 yo video I see now , just ordered Ariat Stadtler boots, more narrow but square front and similar bottom material. Will update soon my initial feelings. Thank you for opinions for this kind boots .
I really like the bull hide counter and especially the leather lined interior! I'll be glad when the huge wide square toe goes away. But for now, I would rock those bad boys!! Good video Brother! Gripit-N-Ripit!!
Thanks Eric! I don't think the wide square toe will ever go away haha. It may become less popular in the future but it's here to stay just like all the other toe shapes. While it's not my favorite, I'm happy people have options
Love they are making a B widths. By the name cowhand it seems reasonable that it is stiff. If you work around cattle and horses they are subjected to some hard wear . I will definitely try a pair on
I work at discount tire so my boots go through that repeatedly for most everyday, plus walking upstairs on the grated metal floor is hard on the tread, so my first pair of slip on square to work boots was Justin because I didn’t really know what brand to get, after looking into boots more and three months of heavy use those Justin’s are really worn in but still have a little life in them, as well as me thinking they should be holding up better and longer than they are, so I got a pair of Ariat workhog composite toe boots for my second pair and currently rotate them, the ariats are pleasing to wear and I know I’m a little safer from a. Car dropping on my foot, but everyday I check my boots out to see how they are wearing in, ik discount tire isn’t the hardest work on boots but still need something to keep comfy in all day long and durable to last
It took me 6 months to break a pair of Ariats like this. They are nice now, but damn! I heard about submersing the boots in water, then wearing them till they are dry to break em.
Having the heel counter and toe colour different colours isn't my style. But they look like okay kick around boots if they are your style and fit your foot shape and your willing to go through a long break in process. You would of been welcome at our backyard construction, if only we where closer.
Awesome video as always. I will say that I always think it looks weird when the toe bug is high or low, however for me no matter where it is it rarely bends acoss the toe bug. But I have weird feet and I guess they just bend in weird way. If the toe bug isnt in the right spot though I usually pass
I have owned the Cowhands for 3 years now and still absolutely hate them. Their predecessor in a traditional heel, the Wildstock, are my all time favorite boots. The Cowhands are heavy and tiresome to wear. The piping on the Cowhands also cracked very quickly and ruined two pairs of suit trousers. Enjoyed the video!
I hear ya! They were heavy and nearly every Ariat I've ever had has cracked piping. Yours must have been really bad to ruin jeans! Sorry to hear that. Glad you're liking the Woodstock though. Sounds like I'll have to check them out when I get the chance
JC, Dk what kind of deal you have going on with Ariat BUT IF they listen to your suggestions & make some changes, bet they are going to get a terrific return on their investment they made in you. You know boots.they are getting a bargain on R&D with someone like you. How many people have your knowledge, experience,& interest in so many boots, old & new.you are probably due a raise!
haha thanks buddy! I appreciate Ariat's support. They definitely help me continue making content freely available to everyone. Whether they do anything with my reviews is another story. We'll see what happens I guess!
Thanks! No I don't think it's a sizing issue. The toe bug is too high in my opinion and it might not have been that big of a deal had the leather not been so stiff like the Circuit Patriot when I did a video about them last year. They weren't as stiff and were actually smaller than these Cowhands.
I like the looks of those Cowhands it dresses up nicely with the forever blah🥱 looking square toe fad going on still. NOw did you put oil in that filter to prime the oil pump and make that engine last like well built cowboy boots?? 😁
I ordered these and they came with the weird bubbly insole/insert? Definitely stiffest leather I’ve ever felt. This break-in is horrible… hopefully worth it once they break in.
Haha! I like that idea! I think it has to do with having a bright part on the boot to gain attention. Kinda like new bright white sneakers get seen, white stitching on boots get seen
Well that extended test must have made your feet fairly sore. That toe bug being too high would definitely cause you problems. When the toe bug is too high it makes the boot look longer. The high toe bug would be a no go for me. Great way to kill two birds with one stone-extended test and vehicle maintenance. Well done 👍
thanks Carol! I would have definitely liked to help someone with landscaping or other work but sometimes it just doesn't work out. Not complaining about getting some work getting done that needed to be done though haha!
Just don’t see the attraction of Ariat boots. They don’t run true to size and they went the cheap route with cushioned insoles instead of a hard leather insole which I prefer.
Dude so does this mean you can’t talk about other brands? Frankly Ariat in my opinion are kind of pretend, stiff, leather is quite plastic in feeling and absorption, in Australia the range is limited and sales and service are pretty bad, sales people I’ve dealt with suggest they are unrepairable and a throw away product, really uncomfortable to wear.
Mink oil and other forms of boot oils would help soften the leather a little but it would also change the color and I chose not to do that this time so the viewers would see the boot without the color change. I did condition with Bick 4 to soften it up but it doesn't work as well as mink oil in that regard. Still they don't need to be that stiff
In a world full of sneakerheads, your videos are really refreshing
Thanks so much! I'm really glad you're enjoy the content
Have had these for over a year and these are one of my favorite boots, took a little long to break in but now that they are they are super comfortable and great lookin boots
Glad to hear this. I literally just bought a pair. I’m used to extremely long break in periods so I’m keeping an open mind.
How well do these hold up? Just bought a pair for beat around work boots on sale!
I agree. Not a bad look at all!

I agree! There's a lot to like about this boot especially if you have a low instep
It is nice that Ariat is sponsoring you... Good review...
Thanks Thomas!! I'm very grateful to Ariat for their support
Best fitting boot I ever tried on!
Love the look, love the shafts stitching! Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching Kaz!
This is 2 yo video I see now , just ordered Ariat Stadtler boots, more narrow but square front and similar bottom material.
Will update soon my initial feelings. Thank you for opinions for this kind boots .
JC, another good comprehensive review. I appreciate your efforts. Looks more dressy than work boot.
I agree. It does look dressy but if it's called the Cowhand, it should be able to work too you know!
I have these, just wait tell you really break them in... very comfortable.. nice video
I actually love the fact is has a low instep. I have skinny flat feet with skinny ankles, so I think a lower instep would help me fit them better.
I had one ariat before and I want one like this bc I want to go though the brake in progress and I like the look of it
Love they are making a B widths. By the name cowhand it seems reasonable that it is stiff. If you work around cattle and horses they are subjected to some hard wear . I will definitely try a pair on
Jeremiah, can you please do a more in-depth video on the different types of exotic hides and their durability?
Do you have any Heritage or M.L. Leddys?
All on the list! Will be getting to them soon!
Proud cowhand owner right here! Great review buddy!!!
That's what I'm talking about! Cheers!

No doubt you need a good boot for the shop! I also did a video about the Workhogs at a shop and was happy I had that safety toe!
It took me 6 months to break a pair of Ariats like this. They are nice now, but damn! I heard about
submersing the boots in water, then wearing them till they are dry to break em.
These are really good looking boots after a little wear.

I would've loved to help! That looked like a fun project. When I finally come to Scotland I hope I have an extended test to record!
Awesome video as always. I will say that I always think it looks weird when the toe bug is high or low, however for me no matter where it is it rarely bends acoss the toe bug. But I have weird feet and I guess they just bend in weird way. If the toe bug isnt in the right spot though I usually pass
Thanks buddy! Toe bug placement can be a make or break!
@@JeremiahCraig absolutely
I’m not a fan of ariats, or square toes. But for some reason these seem like they would work for me 😂👍🏻
They would work for lots of folks!
I would’ve loved to get that color but I got the other green shaft ones
I like that stitching on the shaft!
Green is an awesome choice!
@@mandymothersell2281 yes great pair of boots in my case
If you’re ever down in Fort Worth Texas, review some of those M.L Leddy boots!
You can bet I will!
i got a ford ranger 2 but mine is black and a 2003 model and also needs a oil change
I like that it has a stacked leather heal and good year welt but I don't like the double stitch wide toe.
I like that leather heel too! I think they have some Mexican made round toes too
@@JeremiahCraig And just fine with narrow square tone factor one of my favourite boots I just don't like the wide square toe.
narrow square looks great!
I love all kinds of cowboy boots except for bad ones and I love every kind of toe
I love this! Great perspective
Extended test...that's funny!
You should do a best cowboy boots worn in country music video.
Sounds fun!

Hi I’m following you for a while and you are doing a really good job. Are you gonna review the ariat challenger ?
JC,
Dk what kind of deal you have going on with Ariat BUT IF they listen to your suggestions & make some changes, bet they are going to get a terrific return on their investment they made in you.
Great review. I am curious though, do you think the problem you have with the crimping could possibly be a sizing issue ?
Thanks! No I don't think it's a sizing issue. The toe bug is too high in my opinion and it might not have been that big of a deal had the leather not been so stiff like the Circuit Patriot when I did a video about them last year. They weren't as stiff and were actually smaller than these Cowhands.

Yep! You know it buddy!
Would like to get a pair they would be great for work
I ordered these and they came with the weird bubbly insole/insert? Definitely stiffest leather I’ve ever felt. This break-in is horrible… hopefully worth it once they break in.
I don't understand white stitching on dark colored boots, my guess is when the stitching changes color you broke them in lol.
Haha! I like that idea! I think it has to do with having a bright part on the boot to gain attention. Kinda like new bright white sneakers get seen, white stitching on boots get seen
"I don't like square toes but I believe these are the best square toes in the whole world and the most beautiful bullhide square toe cowboy boots!"
Yes I have a high instep artiats look awesome but hurt me even after weeks of daily used I use Justin now
Should I go a full or half size down for these boots??
Nice boots
Thanks!
Well that extended test must have made your feet fairly sore. That toe bug being too high would definitely cause you problems. When the toe bug is too high it makes the boot look longer. Jeremiah do you do all the music in your videos or do you use stock music?
Mostly I use all my own music in my videos. Sometimes I'll use other stock music but not often. This one is all my stuff!
Those are nice
What size are these?
11B
Those look like they'd make great snow shoe's!!! Zzzzzz ;) Hope everything's good in your world, take care!
haha they would be good for snow but to break these in while they are cold would be even less enjoyable. Alls well here. Thanks buddy!
Nic evideo
Just don’t see the attraction of Ariat boots. They don’t run true to size and they went the cheap route with cushioned insoles instead of a hard leather insole which I prefer.
They're not for everyone but they certainly have their market. I prefer the hard leather insole as well
my Ariats fit better than Tocovas
I love Ariat boots but I’m not a fan of this one
Dude so does this mean you can’t talk about other brands? Frankly Ariat in my opinion are kind of pretend, stiff, leather is quite plastic in feeling and absorption, in Australia the range is limited and sales and service are pretty bad, sales people I’ve dealt with suggest they are unrepairable and a throw away product, really uncomfortable to wear.
No their sponsorship is not exclusive like it would be for an athlete. I'll talk about other brands no worries! My next extended test is a Boulet boot
bought mine at a flea market for 70 bucks bearly worn best boots I ever bought... buy your boots at a flea market lol
Those don't even look like cowboy boots with wide square toe they look like dress shoes with a high heel.
It's a ******* Ford Ranger!
Yeah Mexican Ariat's are way better than Chinese Ariat's.
Agreed!
You should start to oil your boot
Mink oil and other forms of boot oils would help soften the leather a little but it would also change the color and I chose not to do that this time so the viewers would see the boot without the color change. I did condition with Bick 4 to soften it up but it doesn't work as well as mink oil in that regard. Still they don't need to be that stiff
I understand but when your in the dirt you just wanted them to bee comfy and soft
