Driven many cars and can conclusively say the driving experience of the diesel version is just on another level at that price point. Power, stability, speed, driver assist features etc. I would sacrifice reliability for the driving experience. After all, reliability is a function of probability, the driving experience is not. Try it on open road and long distances and there is no driving fatigue. Go diesel or go home on the CX-5 😁.
This is the most mature argument I've ever come across regarding vehicle reliability. You've just made my day 👍. I own one with zero problems so far. The driving dynamics is exceptional compared to my previous cars.

Excellent work as usual. The CX5 has the looks. The 2.0 petrol feels underpowered, I haven’t gotten the chance to try the 2.5. The diesel is super fast, but just as you said, the gasket fails without fail. I also felt the CX5 is not as well insulated as the competition - lot of road noise. But it could be just me. But excellent work. With a CK.

Kindly if you can review 2015 TO 2021 RAV4 if its possible. Rav4 is the best selling vehicle after the Corolla but price is expensive can't beat the reliability on this vehicle.
Honest question for someone looking to buy the cx5 2016. Nkifanya io dpf delete and nikuwe keen on the oil quality na service si ii kitu haitanisumbua., The drive quality, power, and fuel economy zinafanya nipende the diesel engine

Keep up bro. Few corrections though, DIESEL version recommended API rating of oil is CJ4 and not SN. SN is for the petrol version. I'd however go for CK4. The diesel engine issues starts with dpf clogging which brings about the overheating issue as the dpf is welded directly to the exhaust manifold hence resulting to overheating of the gasket area near the exhaust manifold. No 1 killer of dpfs is use of high sulphur diesel oils which end up clogging the DPF. kenyans are yet to know about the CJ4 and CK4 oils, kindly teach them about this. A clogged Dpf will cause some back pressure which will also mess up the turbo. Issues of bad radiator caps are also reported where coolant will leak to the reservoir when driving normally on the highway. Idling stop im told will not destroy the turbo for these reasons.... 1.auto-stop will not work when the oil temperature is beyond a certain threshold, 2.Auto-stop will not work when intake air temperature(air after intercooler) is beyond a certain level 3. Auto stop will only work when exhaust manifold temperatures is low.(lower than 650 degrees) @HONDA AND MAZDA ENTHUSIASTS KENYA 0787338013

A few questions about the car 1.What synthetic oil would you recommend? 2.Where or which fuel stations have 'clean' diesel? 3.What can be done on the radiator cap issue? 4.If i purchase the diesel, which i have fallen for btw, do i have to change the stock gasket? 5.What are some of the reliable Mazda garages who specifically handle the diesels?
