Sepultura from the late ‘80’s to the early ‘90’s were unstoppable and downright intimidating. That was when I discovered them. They’ve never topped this era.
My first show was back in the 90s when I was 15 seeing Pantera and the crowd was feral like they were coked out of their mind or something. The only band in recent years that gave me that vibe was Slayer before they retired. But most shows at best is like a party vibe and at worse like they're watching a Shakespeare play being preformed. But stuff like this is a dead art form.
Extreme technical trash metal . The braveness of playing heavy distorted with "cavey" sounds relatively fast but clear ! And some cool switching tempos ! 6'39"-6'43" Spectacular ahah
Arise was released when I was 16, life changing. This song is from the album before, this changed thrash into something completely different. Raw, dirty, heavy, fast, uncompromising. Sao Paolo's finest.

Sepultura and Pantera both transitioned flawlessly from thrash and power metal to groove metal. Groove metal suggestion: Prong - Revenge Best Served Cold. I listened to it last night. After seeing the quote in Kill Bill Vol.1 reaction video by Shanelle Riccio it started playing in my head so I hadda, it's a damn fine song.
Pantera was already Power metal... They have even an album called this . Pantera was from Judas Priest / Nwobhm / van halen school . They got thrashier elements growing up in their music especially since the project in the jungle album , i am the night , Power metaaal etc.... The rest you know it . But they never were a straight tukatuka thrash band ' Sepultura wasnt a thrash band either . They were a black / death metal band .
Schizophrenia, Beneath The Remains & Arise was their best albums! 🦂 There's tons of songs from those 3 that rocked! Troops Of Doom was bad ass from Schizophrenia! Arise is also awesome!

These versions of these songs at "THIS" concert are probably sped up FIVE TIMES...... Let me try to make this MORE INTENSE.... These songs, their album versions were already HARDCORE THRASHTASTIC! But, here.........even a WELL SEASONED OLD SCHOOL THRASH HEAD "LIKE ME" IS like...."This can't be Fucken Real"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember a little thrash festival back in the late 80s with three german bands (Tankard, Vendetta, Dimple Minds) and Helstar from USA. Some moments there was such a mess on stage with all the stagedivers jumping around, the security hunting them... and in between the musicians playing their instruments :-))))
I honestly believe that Sepultura should have been included as one of the original bands of the big 4. Granted with their infighting between members it would never happen, just my opinion.
Great reaction again:) But, question: Why are your video's so soft? I maxed out my monitors or headphones (LK micro/Sennheiser hd600). Or maybe i need to listen in my studio on big Bertha's... I suggest you to master your vids on a closer to zero dB master;)

Yep, that's how it was done back in the day, at thrash shows. If stage divers hung around on stage too long, security guys would just throw them off.
