We attempted to recreate David Beckham's free kick vs Greece, Ronaldo's knuckball against Portsmouth and Roberto Carlos' outside of the foot screamer against France!

What they don’t mention in these videos is that the pro footballers took more than a 100 attempts in training before doing these things on the pitch, so… training is the way to go!

It’s not so easy for everybody as everyone needs a different technique, I’ve been practicing for months trying to at least find some consistency in my knuckballs, I still suck at them

Yeah, went into it with a different technique.
Ronaldo generates the knuckle ball by simultaneously leaning over the ball to generate down force and hitting a lower point on the ball to lift it. He uses laces for power and a slight hint of outside the foot for side swerve.
You put all these together in just the right ratios and you get crazy lift/dip and swerve.

On the roberto Carlos one it wasn’t a trivela but good hit
Yep. It was almost a straight on power shot with just a hint of spin on it that was exacerbated by the sheer speed the ball was travelling at.

What people dnt know is back thn the ball was the reason why so many players could score such knuckle ball, this volley ball type of balls were introduced in 2006 wc but later banned back to old types of football because of complaints from keepers

Why does his knuckleballs have so much spin and still knuckle so well it was day 2 that the knuckle balls didnt have as much spin
