Hi Heel Sneakers / High Heel Sneakers was written and recorded by Tommy Tucker in 1963. Recorded by many but probably best know by my generation from the Cross Section's version in the film Quadrophenia.
This version, with a change to the lyrics for them to make a little more sense, was recorded on the Zoom R16 with direction from guitar, bass playing, backing singing and musical mentor Paul Matthews (also known as 'One Take Paul') who also magically mixed this into the masterpiece it is today.
