    -----------------------------------------
    Tempo = 130 BPM
    Chord progression:
    II: Am7 I D7 I Gmaj7 I E7 :II
You will hear extended versions of these basic chords on the track... as is common in jazz of course :)
In theory, you can play G major scale over all of the first 3 chords and then switch to A harmonic minor for the E7 chord.
    Scale suggestions for improvisation:
    G Major - G A B C D E F#
    A Harmonic Minor - A B C D E F G#
Playing G Major scale will result in G Ionian (Gmaj7 chords), A Dorian (Am7 chords) and D Mixolydian (D7 chords) - all the same 7 notes...
Next up, try out some more advanced colours on the dominant chord (D7/D13) by using the
    D diminished 1/2-1 tone scale = D Eb F F# G# A B C
And how about trying the Altered Scale (Superlocrian) on E7?
    E Superlocrian Mode - E F G G# Bb C D
    Arpeggios:
    Am7 - A C E G
    D7 - D F# A C
    Gmaj7 - G B D F#
    E7 - E G# B D

Having lots of fun trying out different solos on tracks like this. How do I go outside of g major without it sounding bad. For whatever reason it seems like I can also play d minor and it doesn't sound bad. 🤷‍♂️

How come you have the 6 as E7 rather than Em7? I'm kinda new and thought I had the nashville numbers sorted so this has thrown me a little.

You can use Em7 as a diatonic chord, or you can use E7 as a secondary dominant chord leading to Am7.

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing
