This is a US220 Million Dollar project that is between the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation and China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd who is in charge of the construction, The unskilled workforce will include 90% Jamaican and 50% of the technical skilled area will be covered by Jamaicans as well, This project is part 2b of the Highway 2000 master plan,

The roads leading to Irwin needs fixing. Still not enough lighting and potholes caused by the big lorries
Looks like the bridge will be slanting downward from the hillside cutting to the columns/beams below...contrary to the flat bridge shown in the model picture...
I will show more updates when they add the materials to the top that will have it looking like the model shown on-site.

I think the highest bridge is that old bridge over the Rio Minho River in May Pen Clarendon.
@@nfn4 look carefully at the bypass video for the depth/scale of the drop off (re: how tiny the cars appear) at the Barnett/Irwin location.....when the statistics are finally published formally you'll see. By the way,...someone said that the Bustamante bridge in St. Thomas is currently the longest bridge on the island....I thought that title was given to the new bridge in May Pen on the H2K...can you confirm???
What I keep looking for, is some indication there will be an interchange built here, to access the highway and bridge. So far have not seen that as yet. Road is too busy to not have direct access as part of the plan.
The highway will have an interchange along the Fairfield side, it will be revealed as time goes by.

Good work l like the channel, is this going to be a toll road and are communities such as salt spring, cornwall courts and portobello have access to this bypass?
I am getting mixed feedback about a toll being on the bypass but I do not think that there will be one though. Yes the bypass will have access to the communities along the way.
The ramp is to transport the tee beams over on that bridge

It starts from near the sewage pond at Bogue and will end at Ironshore. You can checkout my other videos to get a breakdown of the route.
How big is that river? I don't see any water in it.
